2. Improve filtering of packages in Community Zone

   When checking for a portfolio to import from the Community Zone, there can be large numbers of collections to sift through from the large suppliers. These appear in what I guess is reverse chronological order i.e. newest created first. It takes much scrolling and scrutiny if you don't want the collections that are offered first.
   There should be a way either to search for the collection you want, or to filter by collection via a drop down. This would save time and also help prevent selecting the wrong collection and possibly having broken links in the Alma linkresolver

3. Allow free text in "Change Portfolio" job, "Set interface name" field

   i work almost exclusively with local, standalone portfolios for electronic resources. I need to be able to globally update the "Interface name" field with free text. The"Change Portfolio" job currently only allows the change to be to one of the vendor code names established in the Acquisitions area. Our acquisitions staff have not set up in Alma such codes for many resources, for example, e-collections for which we purchased perpetual access years before we migrated to Alma.

   One reason I need an interface name on the portfolios, is that when I do a repository electronic titles search, there is nothing to show me which vendor's record I'm looking at (because they are not gathered in local ecollections, or linked to CZ collections). We might have access to the same audio recording through Naxos and Alexander Street Press, and I can't tell from the title search results display, which record is for Naxos and which for ASP (I have to click "Portfolio List", then "Edit Portfolio", then the "Linking" tab to see the URL).

   The "Interface name" field displays on the portfolio "General" tab, where I can manually edit it, and there it allows me to select one of the acquisitions codes or enter free text.

   One of our technical support staff was able to globally change the "Interface name" field to free text using an API, I think, but I don't have such privileges.

4. Electronic Collection - Automatically publish as Deleted when a linked Descriptive Record is unlinked

   In order to triggering publishing of an Electronic Collection from Alma to Primo, the Electronic Collection must have an Electronic Collection URL and an unsuppressed bibliographic record added as the Linked Descriptive Record.
   However, the reverse is not true.
   If you unlink a bibliographic record from the Electronic Collection, the outcome does not function as expected to then publish the inventory as Deleted.
   
   The workaround for this undesirable behaviour is to first go to MD Editor, suppress the record, and then remove it as the Linked Descriptive Record from the Electronic Collection.
   Ex Libris have described this behaviour as expected and ‘by design’, despite there being no reason to publish this record for users. The outcome in Primo is for a record showing as available online in the availability statement and yet with "No full text available" in the View It.
   
   Our contrary argument to this unsatisfactory 'by design' case outcome is that we expect Alma not to have gotchas like this, for it to behave logically, and to be assisted in our work by Alma automatically running processes to either suppress or publish inventory by which a user can be fulfilled.
   See case 00641717.

5. Set Access Type flag for portfolios in Import Profile

   In a portfolio, we can now set Access Type to Current, Perpetual, or both. It would be very useful to be able to set this flag when importing in batch, with a setting in the Import Profile.

6. Have more file format choices for loading profiles in the ES-Editor

   Rather than only being able to download profiles in Excel format in the Electronic Services Editor, it would be nice to be able to use MARC and text formats as well. There could be a radio button selection for file format. This would be better than using a profile import, since the Electronic Services Editor contains the link resolver and the profile import does not. Thank you.

   Shibboleth is available to sign in to IngentaConnect. Can Shibboleth be added to the IngentaConnect Parser in Alma so that Alma can resolve IngentaConnect URLs with a Shibboleth sign in please?

8. Automated holdings data updates for Paratext Reference Universe platform

   Reference Universe by Paratext utilizes holdings data files consisting of ISBNs to present users with search results specific to their library's holdings.

   According to Paratext, they have recently completed a pilot project where they access a library’s SFX resolver directly and retrieve information on new acquisitions without library personnel being involved at all, once the original protocols are established. This will be great for libraries using both Reference Universe and SFX.

   They are interested in establishing this automated holdings data maintenance functionality with other OpenURL resolvers, such as Alma Link Resolver.

   Please work with Paratext to establish and optimize automated ISBN holdings data updates between the Alma Link Resolver and Reference Universe.

9. Add bib records for electronic collections to the "electronic titles" search

   Currently, bib records for electronic collections can only be found in an "all titles" search. We would like electronic collections to be considered inventory so that their bib records will be findable in an "electronic titles" search along with bib records for portfolios.

10. allow the use of sets in Overlap and Collection Analysis

    The Overlap and Collection Analysis wizard allows two report types: Set Comparison and Selected Titles. Set Comparison only allows you to choose electronic collections, so the name is a misnomer. Selected Titles only allows you to upload a file. Neither type allows you to use the itemized/logical set functionality that already exists in Alma.

12. How can we know which ISBN identifier be used to perform the "linking local portfolios to CZ" processing

    We have 2 local portfolios https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/book/10.1002/9781118558133 (v.1) & https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/book/10.1002/9781118558126 (v.2) which those 2 portfolios are linked to MMSID 9940441503411. See attached spreadsheet.
    As those 2 local portfolios with the 3 same set of ISBNs be involved (9781848211124, 9781848211117, 9781848211100), we have tried to link them to CZ by ISBN identifier. Only 1 local portfolios be linked to CZ successfully (see linking to community by ISBN identifiers_2.png). We have performed the linking process again and found that it is linked to the same CZ portfolio (bkey=10.1002/9781118558126). We are wondering which ISBN identifier be used for the linking processing if we have multiple local portfolios when they are linked to the same MMSID.

14. Make Linking Levels in Service Record more general

    The Linking Level in the service record is a hierarchy clearly designed for journals. Books are thrown in as an afterthought, and there is no room for streaming media. The hierarchy would be improved by making it independent of media type. Change the linking levels in the following way:

    Change "Article" to "Article/Chapter"
    Change "Article DOI" to "Article/Chapter DOI"
    Change "Issue" to "Issue/Part"
    Leave "Volume" the same
    Combine "Journal" and "Book" into "Work (Journal/Book/Media)"
    Change "Database" to "Database/Collection"
    Leave "Citation" the same

    This would accommodate collections which contain streaming media, and collections which contain more than one format, such as books and journals. It also allows for access to subdivisions of books in the same way the current levels allow for subdivisions of journals. It is a more flexible hierarchy which can be applied to any electronic resource.

15. Stop requiring activation of both books and journals for the Update Electronic Holdings From Elsevier job

    Change the job Update Electronic Holdings from Elsevier so that it does not require both CZ collections.

    Currently, you must activate two CZ collections for the Elsevier update job to work: Elsevier ScienceDirect Journals Complete and Elsevier ScienceDirect Books Complete. There is a similar job, Update Electronic Holdings for Ovid, but you do not need to activate both the journals and the books for the Ovid job.

    We would like to activate the CZ collection for ScienceDirect journals only. The CZ collection for ScienceDirect books is mostly useless--the majority of the records are brief stub records. The Ovid job lets us choose to only activate the journals. The Elsevier job should be changed to allow us the same choice.

    Change the job Update Electronic Holdings from Elsevier so that it does not require both CZ collections.

    Currently, you must activate two CZ collections for the Elsevier update job to work: Elsevier ScienceDirect Journals Complete and Elsevier ScienceDirect Books Complete. There is a similar job, Update Electronic Holdings for Ovid, but you do not need to activate both the journals and the books for the Ovid job.

16. Ensure dynamic urls are not broken when using the new "move portfolios to a different collection" feature

    When using the new "move portfolios to a different collection" feature, the list of tasks that the move will perform includes a statement that dynamic urls may be broken and must be checked individually. This makes this feature unuseable except when moving very small numbers of portfolios. Since urls are essentially the most important data element in their portfolios, we need to be able to rely on the system not breaking them when using this feature.

18. portfolio acquisitions

    The Acquisitions tab does not have an indication that there is information on it (dog-eared) like the other tabs. Could this be updated so that this tab accurately reflects when there is additional information on it like the other tabs?

19. Display Electronic Collection name and Interface name in local portfolio list

    I have a local record and a CZ record for a journal. My PO and notes are all attached to the local record. In the new UI, when I click “Electronic” for the CZ record, the Collection Names display. In the local record, I can fill in the interface name, but not the collection name if it was a migrated title. I can only see the Electronic Collection name if it was filled in on Alma when creating the portfolio. The interface name will not display in the search results list at all. I can only see it if I click on view. I would like both the interface name and the Electronic name from the local record displayed in the search results. In the old UI both interface name or Electronic Collection name displayed as the “Electronic Version”.

    Can this be changed so the local interface name and the Electronic Collection name will display when I click on Electronic to see the portfolios listed for the local records, just as we can see the Collection Name for the CZ records?

20. Make View it the default tab when viewing electronic items

    Currently when viewing items you can set the electronic & physical tabs to expand by default. However the 'View It' tab/option is hidden in the menu. We don't need to see the portfolios we hold at a glance, we need to be able to view and access the item and it's holdings.

    Please add 'View It' to the list of tabs and to the expand options, so we can see what we hold at a glance and have access to it without needing to search for the menu button.

    If you could add the holding information for when we only have a single holding/subscription that would also be great. A blank 'View it' page is both odd and pointless when we are looking for holding information.
