  1. Split CZ Ebook Central Perpetual, DDA and Subscription Titles into three separate categories on the interface name

    It would be easier for us to administer our PQ subscriptions if it was specified what they were.  That is instead of  showing "Ebook Central Perpetual, DDA and Subscription Titles" in the interface name, in our case we would have DDA titles, Ebook Central owned titles and Academic Complete listed instead.  Could this be done via the metadata in these records?  For example we may wish to see how many DDA titles are appearing on Reading Lists

  2. Move set of Portfolios from CZ to Local collection-URL type

    When moving a set of portfolios from a CZ collection to a locally made collection, ask and allow for the portfolio URL type to be changed and accurately reflect the change. For example, if the portfolios URL structure is set at Parser parameters in the CZ, and the local collection uses static URLs, change the portfolios to static (binary checkbox) and update the free text URL field to reflect the static URL.   3. Batch url checking for Portfolios in Electronic Collections

    Can Alma test all of the links in all the Portfolios in an Electronic Collection, in batch, and report back a count of successes and fails?
    AND (very importantly) give me list of the fails, so I can check/fix them?

    Alma supports integrating with an external client-based linkchecker applications – read more about it here:

    In the past we've reviewed the request to develop an Alma link checker, but determined that in order for a linkchecker to work properly it actually needs to run on the client side as links to publishers interfaces are restricted to IP ranges of the library.

    Having a linkchecker run on the server side will result in links that will be presented with publisher’s login pages and will not yield the expected results of a linkchecker.

  4. Restrictions on access to electronic documentation on a user group basis

    Restrictions on access to electronic documentation can only be made in Alma on a library or campus basis.

    It would be desirable to be able to do this on a user group basis as well.

  5. Ability to put Mailto links in electronic portfolios within a collection.

    We have vendors that have lots of individual titles that are associated with different products. We create electronic collections and add the portfolios. Users must email the provider to request an ID. While you can add a URL, you cannot add a mailto link in the general electronic service.

  6. Add Statistics note 1-3 to portfolio Note tab

    The portfolio currently doesn't have enough note fields, especially for Statistics and one has to be very creative, combining reports, in order to retrieve something of value to report on.

    We make extensive use of our Statistics note 1-3 fields in the Statistics Notes section of the item record's Notes tab and use Analytics to harvest the data entered in each of these note fields for various reports required for operational and management purposes.   7. Update primary URL and Parser Parameters using Portfolio Loader

    Currently, when using the Portfolio Loader to update links, only the override URL and override Parser Parameters can be updated. It would also be helpful to be able to update the primary URL and primary Parser Parameters using the Portfolio Loader.

  9. override proxy - portfolio

    Occasionally, a portfolio will move OA in a collection. It would be great to have an option to override proxy set at the service level on the portfolio. Then, rather than having to turn off proxy at the service level and update portfolio by portfolio, you can just override proxy on each portfolio as necessary.

  10. Ajouter le bouton "Informations de liaison" pour la sélection du portfolio lors de la création du lien vers la communauté

    Lorsque l'on souhaite lier un portfolio local à la communauté, on sélectionne notre portfolio puis on clique sur "Lien vers la communauté". Une sélection des portfolios de la CZ apparaît, mais parfois les portfolios sont très similaires et sans les "informations de liaison", il est impossible de les distinguer. Il est alors nécessaire d'annuler l'opération, de refaire une recherche du portfolio dans la CZ, de repérer lequel est le bon via les "informations de liaison" qui nous permettent de vérifier l'URL, et de noter son MMS.   11. Add CDI articles to (digital) collections

    We'd like to be able to add individual articles to (digital) collections, as there are often articles which are relevant to the collection topic, but currently cannot be included, as only items with bib records in Alma can be added to collections.

  12. Make it possible to activate a portfolio without making the the whole collection active

    I often find portfolios in other collections that I do not have active. I activate it and then move it to our active collection. The collection it was moved from then is in our alma without active portfolios.

  13. Suppress bibliographic records of electronic collections in NZ automatically.

    Currently bibliographies of electronic collections, which we select "Mark Bib as suppressed" on the page of "Activation Wizard: Electronic Collection and Services Setup" and activated from CZ, are suppressed in IZ. But these records are in NZ and can be searched with consortium scope of Primo VE. It would be great if it is suppressed not only in IZ but also in NZ automatically. The necessary workflow looks as follows:
    If held by one institution in a consortium and suppressed, suppressed from NZ.
    If held by some institutions, and only one of them suppresses, not suppressed from NZ.

  14. Choose which material types can be set to auto-active

    We propose that the "Activate new portfolios associated with service automatically?" setting for portfolios in an electronic service be more granular. In electronic collections that contain multiple material types, we would like to be able to select which material types be activated automatically. We've found the bib records for some material types aren't as good as others, and prefer to obtain them from other sources. But for some material types, such as journals, we would like to the CZ records.

  15. SAML authentication for patrons for Resource Sharing

    Currently, when an article or book chapter that a patron requested for has been fulfilled through resource sharing in Alma, the patron receives a document delivery notification letter informing the patron to download the requested article or book chapter. The URL link for SAML authentication for patrons requires SAML to be configured for Alma in addition to Primo VE (See support case 06050447). As Alma is intended for only library staff to login to work, I think it is best not to expose Alma's URL to patrons. Hence, I think that all patron services should be authenticated through Primo VE…

  16. Prevent portfolio loader from wiping out local coverage

    Currently, if we use a portfolio loader to update the portfolios in an electronic collection, e.g. to add a standard note in the portfolio internal description field, the loading of the portfolio loader will wipe out the local coverage in the portfolios. The local coverage will be gone but the coverage statement will remain marked "local".

    The portfolio loader I use usually contains only the two columns of ISSN (for matching), and the column of INTERNAL_DESCRIPTION (for adding the note). This is done only for SOME of the portfolios in the collection.

  17. Add in the electronic portfolio section the search field by: parser parameter, parser parameter (override), static url.

    Añadir en la sección de portafolio electrónico el campo de búsqueda por: parámetro analizador, parámetro analizador (ignorar), url estática.

    Esto con la finalidad de identificar un portafolio electrónico por su código identificador asignado por la misma base de datos de esta manera nos permitirá identificar rápidamente el título eliminado o agregados en nuestra colección.

  18. Non Auto-active collections deleted in CZ - keep active in IZ

    If there is an active collection in the IZ which is linked to the CZ but marked as non auto-active, if that collection is deleted from the CZ it should stay active and local in the IZ.
    The current scenario is that the IZ collection becomes inactive.
    The scenario should keep the collection local and active in the IZ.

    Alma Staff search options for Electronic Service fields are limited. It would be useful to quickly search for when Activate new portfolios associated with service automatically listed under the Activation tab of the Electronic Service is either blank, no or yes.

  20. Add a Community Zone filter to exclude consortial electronic collections from results

    When searching the Community Zone, would like to be able to weed out the electronic collections that are for consortia so it's easier to browse collections under certain providers. For example, searching "oxford*" produces 532 hits. A good percentage are packages for specific consortia. I assume this change would entail creating an identifier for consortial collections.
