  1. Make the confirmation message after a task is completed a hyperlink

    When a task is completed in Alma, such as the creation of PO Line, a confirmation message appears at the top of the screen in Alma, such as:

    Your request to order now POL-227 has been submitted.

    OR

    The request was successfully submitted : request id = 701397340002914

    In these cases, we would like the identifying number given in the confirmation message to be clickable as a hyperlink and route the operator to the record, request, or POL that was just created or modified. So for the PO line, POL-227 would be clickable and open the POL for edit; for…

  2. Relay that job report gives real time

    We have more than one jobs that start at certain time and ran for long time (more than 10 hours) but reports the job ran only for about 3 hours.
    You can see SFC #00795696 for example.
    My idea is to get the real times it took a job to run from start till end

  3. Letters Configuration page should be sortable and searchable

    I like the new Letters Configuration and Components Configuration pages; they've simplified the letter customization work I am doing for our two libraries.

    However, the Letters Configuration page is a bit too unwieldy... requiring a lot of paging and scrolling to find a specific letter.

    Please consider making this page sortable by clicking the column headers, and if it's not too difficult, maybe even searchable?

  4. Enhance Report to ExLibris ticket fields within Alma

    Enhance the Report To ExLibris form in Alma with the following so that it matches the tickets submitted via SalesForce:
    Contact Name field: defaults to whomever is logged in/made the default contact if there is no match. Ex: if Person B is logged into Alma and is configured to report from Alma, they are the default when submitting a problem, not Person A (which is currently listed first because its an alphabetical listing). This would help staff to submit tickets faster and without having to go into SalesForce after submitting to change the name.

  5. Recent searches fine tuning/disabling

    Hello,
    customizing the number of results of the "recent searches" returned in the new UI would be a great thing.

    Now on our Alma it seems limited to the last 10 searches.

    As some people seems to prefer the old browser cache, it would be a great thing too the possibility of eventually disabling it.

  6. Alma should work on Mac Safari

    Currently, the Mac OS Safari browser is not supported for Alma (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/ProductDocumentation/010AlmaOnlineHelp(English)/010GettingStarted/050AlmaUserInterfaceGeneralInformation/010Browser_Requirements)

    Furthermore, until the February 2018 release, Safari has successfully worked in Alma without problem, going back at least until late 2014. However, with the February 2018 release, you now get the endless spinning blue line when loading several pages, such as the User search results screen.

  7. Add location creation modification details to Alma config and Events SA in analytics

    Staff should be able to see who and when locations were created and/or modified in both the Alma config interface and in the Events Subject Area.

  8. Display number of results within a set on the Manage Sets page

    It would be very helpful to be able to see the number of members or results within a given set on the Manage Sets page, rather than having to open each set to find out how many members or results it contains. This would make deleting old, empty sets, much faster and easier.

  9. Add breadcrumb trail to staff interface

    In Alma, the information displayed often depends on the task you are working on to get there. This is a nice feature, but it would be helpful if breadcrumbs were displayed to help track how you arrived at the screen.

    This would be especially helpful to new users.

  10. Allow a staff to set his/her default department

    We are required to choose a "current desk/department" for each login. However, since each staff usually has his/her major role, meaning he/she might most of the time work on the same desk/department. To be more friendly, it's better to have staff to set his/her own default department and select other location when necessary.

  11. Allow multiple time zones for institutions with campuses in different time zones

    We are currently implementing Alma, and have been staggered to learn that we are only allowed one time zone as our default. We understand that (it seems) most Alma institutions only have the one time zone, but in our case we have two different time zones - and one of them has a period of daylight savings every year, so that adds to the complication.

    We can't see how Alma will be functional for us with Fulfillment and the like, if we can't allow both our east and west coast campuses to have their own time zones in place when…

  12. Allow for "open in a new tab"

    We should be able to have more than one page in Alma open in different tabs. Now, when I click "open in a new tab" the page that opens is the Alma homepage. This makes many of my workflows difficult.

  13. Configure paired libraries to have own Discovery Widget in Alma

    We have two libraries and would like to have the Discovery Widget visible on Alma's initial page based on own libraries collection. When I go to Configuration Menu > Discovery > Display Configuration > Configure Views, 2 libraries are listed. If I select my own library, my own library discovery widget becomes the default to both libraries. We'd like each library to have their corresponding collection on the Discovery Widget.

    In the Monitor Requests & Item Processes screen it would be extremely useful to show the item Storage Location ID and the Description. And / Or to have item Storage Location ID and Description available in the excel export of this screen.

  15. Make Interface Admin and Usage Stats Information Usable from Alma

    It would be great if we could export username and password fields from the Administrative Information tab and Statistics Information tab located under the Vendor Interface Details page for each interface we have in Alma. As it is now, it is not possible to export this information using Analytics. We are currently required to either provide more access than is necessary for users who are tasked with collecting usage, or maintain a separate spreadsheet/database with URLs, usernames and passwords, which is an ongoing duplication of effort as these change frequently.

  16. Hyperlink call number.

    While the hyperlinked title is a valuable tool, many of our daily searches necessitate use of of the call number. This is especially true for journals with multiple titles. Hyperlinking the call number would dramatically reduced search time. Being able to 'click through' to all titles linked with a call number would be most useful to our staff.

  17. Allow work order names to be translated

    The name field of work orders displays in PVE (for example "In Process of Repair until..." for a work order named 'Repair'). However it's currently not possible to provide a translation for these labels, which is problematic in multilingual contexts.

  18. Send emails from different addresses using conditional logic for addressfrom in the XSL template

    We want to set up an expiring user email in the user notification letter for the update user job. However it needs to come from different email addresses dependent on the users campus. So that the user can reply directly to the campus library. It would be helpful if you could use conditional logic on the addressfrom tag in the XSL template section of the letter configuration to do this.

  19. Exclude operator roles from "start now" option in scheduled jobs in sandbox environment

    As of now every role that has permission to monitor jobs in production can use the "start now" option in the scheduled jobs list in the sandbox. Several operator roles have this permission, e.g. purchasing operator, resulting in an unwanted and uncontrolled run of an institutional job by library staff testing our sandbox environment.
    Therefore, we would like this permission to be restricted to manager or administrator roles. If that means, that operator roles need to be stripped of the permission to monitor jobs in production that would be fine for us. We hope that we do not have to…

    There should be the ability to get directly to ExLibris support (SalesForce) from within Alma vs. going through the customer center.
