  2. Add link to 'note' tab in actions menu

    We quite often have to add notes to electronic collection records that advise users of outages. Some vendors have nearly 100 collections in their inventory that each need to be updated when there's an outage.

    It would be less time-consuming to add a note to multiple records if there was a link to the note tab in the 'actions' menu.

  3. Scroll-up button in a list of items

    Currently there is in Alma only a scroll down botton when there is a long list of items. Is there any way to add a scroll up button (in order to the beginning of the list)?

  4. Organize/Sort ALMA UI menus and sub-menus in alphabetic order

    Organize/Sort ALMA UI menus and sub-menus in alphabetic order. Sorting the new UI in a more intuitive manner would make navigating back and forth through modules and functions more time efficient.

    Buenos días,

    ¿Existe alguna de configurar Alma par que mantenga la sesión abierta y que no tengas que loguear de nuevo?

  6. Bulk adding of instructors to Leganto Reading Lists via Alma back-office

    Library staff currently have to input Reading List owners on a one-by-one basis.

    It would be good if Library staff could add Reading List owners to Leganto reading lists in bulk.

  7. Add Description to Standard Openings Hours in Calendar Management

    During implementation standard opening hours were entered with the days of the week in the description column. When users edit or add standard opening hours, the description column is not available. It would help if we could enter the day in the description column.

  8. Remain on the same page when Current Location is changed

    At the moment, when 'Current Location' is changed, this action results in the user being taken to the home page afterwards. This is inconvenient, especially when working in a patron record, as it means several steps to get back to the screen where you were before. It would be much better if the interface remained on the same screen after a location change.

  9. Enable Alma to communicate IP changes to vendors

    When the university adds or removes an IP range, the library has to contact many e-resource vendors, often one by on,e to ensure that access via IP remains accurate. Add a functionality in Alma to allow libraries to contact all vendors at once with updated IP information, so we don't have to use a separate service like RedLink or IP Registry.

  10. Run a Job-display task parameters in step 2

    After selecting a job to run at the Run a Job page, the next screen should be the job's task parameters instead of the prompt to choose a set. This change would move the set selection to step 3. This is useful when you don't remember what particular function the job performs. If you see the task parameters at step two, you can verify what the job will do and you can back out if you've made the wrong job selection.   11. Alma display no longer dims when busy

    Eliminate the dimming of the display when Alma is busy and just use the rotating wheel icon by itself. I have vision problems AND a seizure disorder and the constant dimming and un-dimming of the screen as I work makes it very hard to focus, causes headaches and other problems.

  12. Ability to collect and analyze data on number of and frequency of letters sent from Alma

    It would be awesome if there were an option in Analytics to collect and analyze data on the number of and frequency of emails sent from Alma. This will be especially helpful for those institutions that are editing letters and would like to start with the most frequent, patron-facing letters first.

  13. Please fix these concerning mistranslations

    Dear support

    While creating the non-english versions of the powerpoint presentations for SLSP training, I ran into some concerning mistranslations. It almost looks like you used Google Translations to translate the English Terms in Alma to other languages.

    For example, the English homonym "pass" was erroneously translated to "succeed" instead of "go by". This happened while translating to Italian and German (see attachement). I can only imagine how annoying that will be for librarians all over Switzerland when we go live with Alma this coming December.

    I can imagine it's a known issue to the libraries you have been using…

  14. Advanced Search in new interface lacks functionality

    The new Alma interface's Advanced Search feature appears to lack fundamental functionality. I am not the systems person and, therefore, perhaps this can be done and I am not aware of how to do this. However, it seems one must now click on the Advanced Search every time one needs the Advanced Search (which is often). The old interface allowed one to choose Advanced Search and then it would remain on the screen so that one could use the same chosen Advanced Search option continually, adding and subtracting additional fields as needed.   15. RSS of knowledge center articles should include changelog

    Hi

    We can watch pages like
    https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/050Administration/030User_Management/060Managing_User_Roles via RSS feed.

    When something on the page is changed, I get a notification, which I am glad for.

    However, there is no way of seeing what has changed.

    (Sometime there's a note 'New for March', but not always).

    Please add a changelog / version history / diff function to your documentation pages. This could be a separate page, so the main page doesn't get cluttered.

  16. View members or results button from Set Details page

    When looking at the list of sets on the Manage sets page, it is sometimes necessary to click into the Set Details to view the description or notes to make sure that it is the correct set that I want to work with. To then view the members, it takes three more clicks: 1) go back to the manage sets screen 2) right click or click the ellipsis button 3) click the members or results option on the dropdown menu.   17. Tasks Widget: Show 'Assigned to me' consistently in ALL Task Lists

    In the Tasks on the homepage, 'Purchase Requests' ALWAYS show any tasks 'assigned to me' when I expand the curtain.

    'Reading Lists' NEVER shows any tasks 'assigned to me' when I expand the curtain. There are often Reading Lists assigned to me, so it would be helpful to just be able to see that like with Purchase Requests, rather than having to look in on all reading lists every day.

    Same with Borrowing Requests, and Lending Requests. 'Assigned to me' does not show, whereas Electronic Resources assigned to me do appear.

  18. Toggle the copying of Configuration to Premium Sandbox

    A recurring theme in NERS voting is the ability to maintain Premium Sandbox Configuration changes on refresh.
    I suggest that instead of allowing for export and import of tables an extra toggle be added to the Premium Sandbox Configuration area. When this toggle is selected NONE of the configuration tables from the Production version are copied at refresh. This would allow sites who wish to maintain their sandbox changes to do so while sites that would prefer the overlay have the option. It would also be somewhat easier to code since it is an if/else in the current refresh workflow…

  20. In Advanced search make a change on condition 'country of origin' "equals" and then a drop down list with countries

    If you add the condition 'language' while making an Advanced Search you get "equals' and a dropdown list with languages. This is not the case if you search on 'country of origin'. We would like to have "equals" and a dropdown list with countries added to the conditions.
