Welcome Letter for the new patron profiles automatically or manually created
With our previous library system, Aleph, we were able to send a customized Welcome Letter to the patrons whose profiles had been created either automatically or manually.
The Welcome Letter allowed us to promote the library services to an audience that was often not sufficiently informed.
There is no such a possibility in Alma.
It could be great if, daily or weekly, a job identifies the brand new patrons and sends them a highly customizable letter.
Thanks,
Sergio

Dear Moshe,
Thank you very much for your help and your complete answer to my question.
We had already thought to this solution, but my idea was to modify an existing notification type. Your suggestion is much better.
We hesitated implementing it because, in my opinion, we have to filter the users on the parameter Creation Date and it seems to me that some changes, automatically or manually done, in the user profiles do not modify only the Modification Date, but also the Creation Date.
This way, we could send a Welcome Letter also to someone who is going to leave our Institution or who have been working for years in our Institution, but they have simply changed Unit.
We will see how to prevent this. Perhaps the text of the message could be worded considering this possibility: ”Dear …, your profile has been recently created or updated in our system…”.
We will give your solution a try.
Best regards,
Sergio

Hi,
Alma allows you to create Analytics based sets that can be used as input for jobs. You can therefore create a set in Analytics of users, and use that set to trigger the "Update/Notify Users" job.
I added a link below that described how to create your own customized letters to send to groups of users using the "Update/Notify Users" job.
Also below are links that describe how to use Analytics sets for Alma jobs.
