Develop Alma Digital viewer to support ePub files
We are using Alma Digital to build a repository of accessible texts, available only to students with a "print disability" under UK law. Access is tightly controlled to a specific collection.
We are hosting both PDFs and ePub files on Alma Digital for our users to access. ePub files offer improved user experience for these users with text reflow.
Currently the Alma Digital viewer does not support ePub files.
Please develop the viewer so that users can read ePub files, with all their functionalities; without the user having to download the file and open it in another application.
48 votesThe Alma Viewer can now display ePub files to end users with an intuitive and accessible embedded 3rd party viewer.

Improve claiming functionality for predicted items
Alma has the ability to update the expected date in the Print Journal subscription PO line incrementally based on the receiving date of the last item received, and the subscription interval provided. However, predicted items also contain expected dates, which remain the same, or become all the same if the PO line expected date is modified manually. This causes many PO lines to end up in the claims task list that do not belong there. Since the frequency is provided in the prediction pattern, the expected dates of the expected items should be "smarter" and update incrementally according to the…
47 votesPreviously if an item’s due date arrived and the item was not received, a claim letter was sent to the vendor. As of February release, if the next expected item also does not arrive, you can send an additional letter to the vendor which includes details for both items which did not arrive

Include Attachments Tab Data in XML Output of Invoice Export
Currently, when you send invoices to your S/FTP server, only data from the Summary tab and Invoice Lines tab are included in the XML output.
We would like the data from the Attachments tab to be included in the XML output as well for our upcoming integration with Workday. Workday requires a URL for the attached invoice and the Attachments tab is the place to store this.
These data also do not appear to be available via the API. Adding these data to both places would be ideal.
47 votesThe invoice and license APIs include expand parameters for attachments. A GET API will return the number of attachments for invoices and licenses.

"All" tab for searching in Task List (Borrowing and Lending
We can see the "All" tab in the Reading Lists Task List for Leganto. Would like similar for Borrowing and Lending for Alma RS instead of having to go through Assigned to me, Unassigned and Assigned to Others. More efficient to search in one place when multiple people manage RS.
47 votesThe new UI for Resource-Sharing Borrowing Requests and Lending Requests Task Lists has been released in August 2022, see the 'Borrowing Requests and Lending Requests' section in the release notes. Among other features of the new UI, activity status information is a facet , enabling searching for requests by specifying multiple activity statuses.

Add field for administrators in license record
We would like to add a field called "administrator” in the Summary tab of the License. This field would preferably be connected to the user inventory in Alma and should be repeatable for as many administrators as we want. Often there is more than one person included in the negotiation of a license agreement. It would be of great help to have the names of these persons in the license record in Alma.

Adding "Level of Service" to Resource Sharing Borrowing/Lending Request Facet
Currently, when placing a Resource Sharing Requests (both Borrowing and Lending), clients are able to select a "Level of Service" e.g. Core, Rush, Express. The Borrowing/Supplying library will then base on this level of service to prioritize the workload. At the moment, Level of Service is not available as a facet for filtering in Alma. The impact is that library staff need to go through every requests to find out what level of service the client has requested. When the Borrowing and Lending Request list contains hundreds of requests, this task is impractical and defeat the purpose of having "level…

Overdue and lost loan job for "no item policy" only
We need an option to configure an Overdue and lost loan job only on items that dont have an item policy.
Most of our material have no item policy and we dont have an option to only send an overdue notification on those books. Now we also have to send to every other item policy.
In particuly this leads to overlapping overdue notifications when we have material with short loan or ILL-loans.This would be fixed with a new option to check "no item policy" in the overdue and lost loan configuration page.
46 votesIndeed, this was done in the May Release.

In Repository Search, display "Due Time" field for checked-out items
The "Due Date" field already displays for checked-out items in a "Physical items" search but "Due Time" doesn't even though many institutions check out hourly items for which the "Due Date" field isn't really useful.

Blocks by location
We would like to be able to apply blocks to Patron's borrowing by Location or Library, so that a block applied to a Patron for, say, Library / Location A would still allow them to borrow items from Library / Location B. Alma seems designed for multiple locations and Libraries, and yet the Blocks are currently applied across all locations.

display item tabs when creating new item record
When creating a new item in the physical item editor, the item tab "notes" should display immediately. Currently, when creating an item you must save the item first before the tabs will display and then go back into the item record to add any item notes.

Add the Import function to the Statistical Categories/Types mapping table.
Statistical Category and Category Types can be Imported but mapping them is exceedingly tedious.

Enable the ability for DARA recommendations to be assigned to individual staff members
It would be useful if DARA recommendations could be assigned to individual staff members in the same way Electronic Resource Activation's can be. This would enable one staff member to distribute DARA tasks to all relevant staff members in a most direct way

Add ability to save checkbox "Update Net Price according to item quantity" to PO line templates
The February 2022 Alma release brought an improvement in correspondence between the number of items ordered and quantity for pricing (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2022/Alma_2022_Release_Notes > Enhancements to the PO Line Pricing Section).
We are happy, that the enabled checkbox updates the quantity for pricing amount automatically and that the checkbox is enabled by default and can be disabled in the configuration menu.
However, we would very much appreciate the ability to save the checkbox-setting in the PO line templates. This way, if the checkbox is enabled for the whole IZ, it can still be used disabled by individual libraries by saving it…

ORCID
More and more government agencies require researchers/scientists to have ORCID iD when they apply for government sponsored research. But ORCID iD is for real world object. Please use $1 real world object for ORCID iD for Alma search indexes for MARC21 100, 600, 700 fields. The current Alma search indexes incorrectly support $0 for ORCID iD in MARC21 100, 600, and 700. This error needs to be corrected.

True anonymisation of user purge with "Keep statistics" option
When purging users, the option recommended to retain anonymised statistics is the "Keep statistics" option. However this option "anonymises" the statistics by moving the Primary ID into the Last Name field.
For us, and many other libraries, the Primary ID is a unique personal identifier associated with the student - it's even more identifiable than their name! So this does absolutely nothing to anonymise the statistics or to increase compliance with our Privacy Act.
We'd expect instead of using the Primary ID in this way, some random hex code should be generated (or at least use the Alma internal user…
43 votesA Keep Statistics and Remove Primary ID (Recommended) option is now available on the Delete User Policy page. The new option is selected by default for new customers.
When selecting the new option and purging a user record, the last name column is populated with an internal unique Alma ID instead of the Primary ID.
Additionally, if you select Keep Statistics and Remove Primary ID (Recommended) when the prior selection was Keep fully reportable or Keep statistics, a confirmation message is displayed to indicate that user records that were previously purged using the previously selected option will also be updated, and you are asked to confirm the choice. When you confirm, a new job updates the previously purged user records. -
Electronic portfolios in an electronic collection/packages should inherit data displays from the collection's service
Data elements that are set at a Electronic collection service level should cascade down and be applied/display at the electronic portfolio level.
While portfolios that are part of an electronic collection/package inherit the properties that are set at the service level, those inherited properties do not display in Alma in the individual portfolios. For example, the proxy value in the individual portfolios will always display in Alma as "No" even when the true value inherited from the electronic collection's service is "Yes." Similarly, a public or authentication note entered at the electronic collection or service level does not cascade down…43 votesAs part of Alma June release Advanced search query options were expanded to include Not Contains Keywords, Is Empty and Is Not Empty for electronic resources indexes.

Add the ability to move item record(s) from one bib record to another.
Occasionally one or more item records need to be attached to a different, correct bib record, This often happens with title changes for serial records. Presently we must withdraw the item record(s) from one bib record and create new ones at the correct bib record. This is very time consuming process. It would be very helpful if there was an option to select item records and transfer them from one bib record to another.

Customize gender description for NONE
We would like to be able to customize the gender field to change the description for the code NONE.
Australian legislation now requires the University to supporting the following in capturing gender data:
"18. Where sex and/or gender information is collected and recorded in a personal record, individuals should be given the option to select M (male), F (female) or X (Indeterminate/Intersex/Unspecified)." -- http://www.ag.gov.au/Publications/Documents/AustralianGovernmentGuidelinesontheRecognitionofSexandGender/AustralianGovernmentGuidelinesontheRecognitionofSexandGender.doc
The existing description is hard-coded and uses the term "None'. EL advised us to use the code NONE for this purpose. However the description is not appropriate for describing people who do not identify as either…

limit results by location facet in physical title repository search
Ability to narrow search results by location in a physical titles or physical items results screen.
Currently we can limit by material type, language, publication year and resource type.
