    Could the General Mail facility be amended to allow staff to add attachments to an email sent to a patron via the USer Management screen?

  3. Add platform filter to the "Missing Data"

    The "Missing Data" tab under the Load Usage Data section should have a filter for platform. As I set up more usage reports and as I want to check and make sure all the data came through, it has become more difficult to find the rows that I want to review. A filter for platform will help.

  4. Have the System Job Notification return a list of barcodes to show which items were skipped when running a job on an itemised (itemized) set

    Use case: As part of our workflow we have to add a fulfilment note and an internal note to items in an itemised set. When creating the text for Internal Note 3, we specify that it only be done if the field is empty (so as not to overwrite an existing instruction, because there is no way currently to ADD text to an already-populated field). When running the job, we are told the quantity of items which were skipped (due to their already having text in Internal Note 3); it would be very useful if the report told us exactly…

  5. The ability to sort the "List of Items" by "Copy ID" or "Item Call Number"

    Adding "Copy ID" and "Item Call Number" to the "Sort routine" in the "List of Items would be very helpful for us. We catalog various types of equipment to loan out to students. The equipment has a Permanent Call Number which designates the type of equipment and where the equipment is from using a code. Each piece of equipment belonging to that bibliographic record has an item call number so being able to sort by item call number or copy ID would make our life easier. Thank you.

  6. Add alphabetic title search field to the external databases search fields in Alma

    when searching external databases in order to import a relevant record i notice there are many search fields by words but non of them is by alphabetic order. Especially missing a search field by alphabetic title.

  7. When adding invocie line, Secondary Reporting Code and Tertiary Reporting Code which is empty in POL will be set to a default value from the

    For ‘add invoice line’ operation after typing the POL number the system will bring the POL’s information such as total price, reporting code, Secondary Reporting Code and Tertiary Reporting Code, which is good. But we want the information for Secondary Reporting Code and Tertiary Reporting Code to override the information from configuration > acquisitions > purchase order > Secondary Reporting Code/Tertiary Reporting Code. Even if the POL’s Secondary Reporting Code and Tertiary Reporting Code are empty, which currently will be set to a default value from the configuration.

  9. Correct inaccurate "Loan Status" in Alma

    If a patron requests a title that has multiple items when all available items are in loan,
    all items will not be renewaled, because the request is pending.

    In "My Library" the remark is "cannot renewal", but at that time,
    in Alma,the Loan status is shown as "Normal" for some items and "Recalled" for others.
    All items of the title should be shown as "Recalled".

    We suggent to reflect the request data accuratelly on the Loan Status in Alma.

  11. Merge & Combine inventory enhancement to allow the records the split screen editor use a drag and drop featuer

    It would be great to have an easy way to change the primary bib record when using "Merge & Combine" in the new MDE. Implementing the ability to drag and drop the bib records in the split screen editor would allow users to more efficiently change which record is on the left-hand side (primary record)and which record is on the right-hand side (secondary record).

  13. Add Collection related subject area/dimensions/parameters in Analytics

    Please elaborate Collection in Analytics. We suggest three ideas for that;

    Idea 1)
    Collection can be a separate dimension, with the existing/new parameters below;
    - Collection ID (existing)
    - Collection Name (existing)
    - Collection External System
    - Collection External ID
    - Collection MMS ID (of the collection's BIB itself)
    - ★★★ The PIDs of the collection's direct sub-collections (in different rows, not combined with semicolons; should be repeatable so that the created report can show the hierarchical structure of whole collections)
    - Collection level (the depth)
    - Collection Path (from the collection's top level collection to itself)

    We have begun to investigate this more in depth and thank you very much for your three suggestions of how this can be implemented. In order to decide how best to implement this it would be useful to first know what “business needs” you are trying to address. What types of reports are you looking to create? What information do you need to get and what types of reports do you want?. Note that today the bibliographic details folder already has the collection ID and collection name.

  14. Allow for format de-duplicating in YBP Real Time Ordering

    When we were testing the Real-Time Integration between YBP and Alma, we found that if we own either the print or electronic format, but we receive a request for the other format, the order attaches to the existing bib, even if it is in the wrong format. In these cases, if the format is different, what should happen is that the system should create a new brief MMS record for the order's format. I've been told that adding additional matchpoints to prevent this would have to be an enhancement request. As YBP has told me that three other libraries also…

  15. Use user data in general electronic services

    Currently in a general electronic service we can pass bibliographic metadata via openurl format through to the target webpage. It would be useful to also pass through user data. The "Adding a General Electronic Service" section in the Online Help mentions a requester (req.) category of attributes but these don't seem to be used at the moment.

    Passing through the requester's name, email address, etc would allow us to auto-populate an external form (eg interloans, purchase suggestion forms, etc) and save the user time / potential typing errors.

    We can map MARC tags to Analytics Local Parameters up to 10 but not to Dublin Core fields. Please allow Local Parameter mapping to DC fields too.

  17. Authority linking issue with bibliographic field 240

    We'd request that when Alma links up bib field 240 with a uniform title entered in authority record, it should take into account of bibliographic contents in field 240 PLUS field 100 ALTOGETHER, and link these combined contents with uniform titles entered in authority records.

    Currently, it links up the uniform title in field 240 only with authority record. So, those generic uniform titles e.g. Works, Poetry, etc. will be ambiguous, and do not have proper linking with their authority records established with author's name.

  18. Open second search box when "Advanced" is selected from persistent search

    The default persistent search box in Alma is one line. For a more complex search, I click on "Advanced". I then (always) have to click on the plus sign to get a second row for additional critieria. I would like for the system to automatically open that second search box when "Advanced" is chosen.   19. Sort Subfields Task does not work correctly in combination with Authorities - Preferred Term Correction

    We've defined the following Sort Subfields Task but there seems to be a problem in combination with "GND Authorities -Preferred Term correction"

    700: iaqbcdtmnrpkolgfs0
    710: iagbndctkplfs0
    711: iagendctkplfs0

    The subfield i which we defined as first in 700/710/711 is suddenly put last. If this happen, the latest job that was run is always Authorities - Preferred Term correction

    In any case, the sorting should be the way we defined it in the Sort Subfields Task
