Analytics - column properties
Let the default for Column Format / Value Suppression be set as "Repeat" instead of "Suppress" for most data points. I often export my results to Excel and have to go into each data point to set it to Repeat. Having this as a default setting (or even a default toggle) would be helpful.
64 votesCertain aspects of the OBI (Oracle Business Intelligence) which is used by Alma Analytics can be changed from the default as it is supplied with Alma. Certain aspects however remain in the default state as supplied, and will not be changed as supplied with Alma Analytics. For various technical reasons beyond the scope of an Ideas Exchange answer the default column format value will not be changed from “suppress” to “repeat”.

Display the "material type" text box in the "Receive new items" page
When we receive an item: Acquisitions > Receiving and invoicing > Receive > find the title > Manage items (to review the other items first) > Receive new items, the page shows the entry boxes for enumerations, but the material type entry box is missing. One has to finish data entry for that page, bounced out to the item list, and then click Edit inventory to GO BACK to the Receive New Item page to add the material type. It would be great if this Material type is also displayed in the Receive page in the first place.

Configure better functionality (letters and fining) to calculate a new due date for an overdue item when it has been recalled
In an institution where we do not use automated renewals, we encounter instances where patron 1 has an item and allowed it to get overdue but it is then recalled. The letter that goes out does not use our configurations to calculate a new due date from the date of the request and it starts to calculate fines immediately. This causes much patron distress as they can't go back into the past to return the item, nor are they informed that there might be a grace period to return the item. Display linked import profiles in Electronic Collection view/editor
It would be helpful if Alma displayed any import profiles set up to create portfolios (or delete) in an electronic collection when viewing/editing that e-collection. This would eliminate the need to go back to the import profiles themselves to verify which collections they work on.

Make the confirmation message after a task is completed a hyperlink
When a task is completed in Alma, such as the creation of PO Line, a confirmation message appears at the top of the screen in Alma, such as:
Your request to order now POL-227 has been submitted.
OR
The request was successfully submitted : request id = 701397340002914

User Group fee
I would like it to be possible for a fee to be added to a user record when a certain user group is selected, eg.Postal Loans. The patrons are not imported with this user type - it is changed when they make the request to receive loans by post. There is currently no functionality that allows a fee to be added automatically when a new User group is manually selected.

Translate Titles to Items set job
We'd like the ability to truly 'itemize' a set of All Titles / Physical Titles i.e. translate a set of titles uploaded from MMS IDs into a set on which we could run the Change Physical Items job. Many times we want to add an Internal note at the item level to a set, but we can't to sets that have been uploaded as Titles (except to add a local 9**, report on it the next day in analytics, export that report, excise the barcodes, and re-upload a set at the Item level - ridiculous!).

Include the ISBN/ISSN dropdown box in 'Other Service' PO lines
We regularly need to order additional copies of ebooks, for example, if credits run out. If we are getting these from the same supplier, we don't want to create a duplicate portfolio, so we want to add an order without creating inventory. Using the order type 'Other Service' would be ideal, however there is no option to include the ISBN in the order, which vendors depend on for identifying the order via EDI. It would be great if this function could be added to 'Other Service' orders.

Delivery Format Codes
Is there any way to order the delivery format codes, or just have the ones we use regularly. Currently there are several in the drop down list that are not used, there are 14 and we only use 3. It can be difficult to find the one you need sometimes. If we can order them this will stop errors occuring.

Alma -- no warning when item goes into "transit" from receiving
When an item is received under Receiving > One Time, if there is a request on the item for a user at another library, the item immediately goes into transit status to the requesting library. There is no message or warning that the item is in transit at this point, and the receiver's assumption is that it is now "In place" and ready to be shelved. Renewing resource sharing requests in Lending
Resource Sharing lending and renewals.
Currently you can only change the date in the lending side by searching for the barcode in physical items and clicking edit, scrolling down to the date box allows you to update. This information is carried across into the catalogue but not on the lending resource page, we can find no way to manually change here either. Make modification date of user account available in the User API (v2)
In the earlier SOAP-based version of the Alma User API, the last modification date of a user account was an available field. However, in the current REST-based API, that field is no longer available.
This piece of information is very important to us when we synchronize Alma data to ILLiad via our custom ILLiad login script. That allows to us update ILLiad as needed and insert an accurate modification date into a user's ILLiad account.

There isn't a possibility to configure the display of a journal's 'Description'. It is possible to edit templates in MD editor to configure which subfields will be displayed, however the display order of these fields is NOT configurable.

Create an "Ideas Meta" category for ideas on the tool itself
As an ExLibris customer, I would like a channel were I can submit my ideas on how the Idea Exchange tool could be improved, so that the tool can evolve for maximum benefit for both ExLibris and customers.
See Meta Stack Overflow as an example.
Currently I don't know an obvious place where I could submit this idea, which is why it ended up in Alma - Other ... The idea about a meta category thus exemplifies the need expressed in the idea itself. How meta is that? ;-)

Change Repository Search "Contains" to drop-down to enable searching "Contains Phrase", "Starts With", and "Equals"
In the repository search simple search, the only search operator you can use when searching available indexes is contains (e.g., FIND all titles WHERE title CONTAINS ____.
