Creating POL from portfolio level should take the identifier from 020 and not from 776
When PO Line is created from the Portfolio level, ISBN comes from Marc21 field 776.
When PO Line is created directly from the bibliographic record, the ISBN comes from the first Marc21 field 020.
Desired behavior:
When PO Line is created from the Portfolio level, the ISBN should come from the first Marc21 field 020 (same as when PO Line is created directly from the bibliographic record).

Make "Change expected date"-button available for unclaimed PO lines
Currently, the function “Change Expected Date” is only available, when a PO line is in claim.
However, it happens often, that vendors announce a delayed publishing date before a POL is claimed. It would be very practical, if in cases like these, the expected date could be changed via the button "Change Expected Date" as well, instead of having to open the POL > Edit > Change date > Save.
It would save a few clicks and allow us to use the same workflow for the same task.

Order it : additional fields for the bibliographic record
an LC created with Order it generates a bibliographic record with a single description field: Title.

Unified PO Line Task List: Make the identifier field editable again
The identifier field in its new form allows for users to either select an existing value from a fold-down list or to enter a new value.
However, editing a value has become incredibly cumbersome. As the cursor cannot be placed in the current content of the field, users wanting to edit it have to copy the content to the clipboard, paste it in the field again and then perform the edit. From our point of view, this new feature is a regression.

Allow edits to POL Bib Descriptions on Cancelled POLs
We want to be able to edit the POL Bib Description fields on cancelled POLs without having to reopen the POL. Reopening a cancelled order on a closed ledger causes complications, especially if the fund doesn't exist in the current ledger. It would be better for your users if we could just edit this tab without impacting the POL status. Thank you!

Ability to define a shipping address per PO line
We need the ability to define a different shipping address than the library billing address per PO line. The address should be included in the XML of all vendor-facing letters, be searchable, and be included in the Excel lists exported from the search results.
Use Cases:
- A central library manages subscriptions to journals and newspapers that are sent directly to end users by the vendor.
- Several libraries are integrated into a single Library in Alma but send orders independently to vendors, expecting delivery to their local addresses.85 votes -
Add Cancellation Reason code and Notes to the Interested In Letter XML
This essentially replicates an earlier request that was closed in 2021 without resolution:
We would like to have Cancellation Reason code and Cancellation Note available in the XML that is supplied to the Interested In letter template. Make headings and descriptions editable for PO Lines without Inventory
It is possible to create a PO Line without inventory by using the "Order without Inventory" option in the Acquisitions area of Alma. When creating such an order, Order Heading, Alternative Heading, and Description are all required fields. However, these fields are not editable after the order is created, so if you make a typo or there is a change to the name of a service (or whatever it is you are ordering), it is not possible to update that information in the heading. Ex Libris should make these fields editable after the order is created.

Out of Stock Orders - Rialto
Out of Stock Orders (adding here as per response when posted on Rialto Idea Exchange by Clarivate staff)
When a Rialto item is not currently in stock it doesn’t reflect on the Order (POL) and the status is Sent. Is there something that could be done so that the Rialto status reflects in Alma’s order status? Otherwise, these orders will continue to have the status ‘Sent’. Potential issue during FY close as these orders will encumber into the next FY. Great if it will be published and/or if only a few orders with this status however not so if not.…

Provide a Link from POL to its corresponding Full Record.
It would be helpful to be able to click on a link that takes the user into the full (i.e., main) record - including access to holding and item records.

Advances search für PO Lines - searching for "empty" categories
In the advanced search for catalog data, it is also possible to search for content that is "not" included ("not contains...", "is empty", etc.).
This is not possible in the advanced search for order lines, but in my opinion it would be useful to search for incorrect entries.

Filter OUT cancelled PO Lines
Provide a facet to filter OUT cancelled PO Lines in the PO Line view. We have a lot of cancelled PO Lines with the same title as existing PO Lines, and it is confusing and time consuming to find the 'active' PO Lines. It would help us tremendously if we could filter OUT cancelled PO Lines, perhaps even by default.

Manually associated PO Lines appearing in the Associated PO Lines tab
Allow manually associated PO Lines under the Additional section of a POL, this association should also populate an entry on the Associated PO Lines tab. This will allow for a one-to-many relationship to be established to help in the administration of material that comes with subscriptions and print and online subscription management.

PO line automatically renewed notes
Have the option to turn off "The PO Line has renewed automatically on date by the system" notes if not required or be able to delete in bulk. They can make it hard to find specific notes about the order

Order of action buttons in the POL
In the new PO line interface, the action buttons available when creating a POL is not in a practical order, which causes a lot of our staff to press “save” instead of “save and continue”. This causes the POL to remain in status “in review”. The user also must use more energy to locate the correct action button. We have two different suggestions for solving this:

Add a link from the PO line to the "Receive" workbench
It would be helpful to have a link to the receiving workbench from a POL, to eliminate the extra step of receiving items that are ordered but already in hand. This applies especially to standing orders and gifts. We already have the items in hand at the time of order creation. With the current setup, we have to 1) create the POL, 2) write down the POL number or copy it before selecting Order Now, 3) switch to Receive to receive the item in order to close the POL. Linking several Electronic Collections to one PO line from within the order
In Alma it's possible to link several Electronic Collections to one PO line. This is very helpful for us. To do so you can just write the PO line number in the field PO Line in the Acquisitions and License Information in the Electronic Collection Editor. But there is no way to do it vice verse, to link the order to multiple electronic collections from within the order. This would be very important for us, especially for those cases where the Electronic Collection is not in our IZ but in the NZ, so that we are not able to edit…

Send email from the pol to the interested user?
Acquisitions
Sometimes we receive a response from a supplier that we want to communicate to the interested user: the high price, or the offer of another edition, etc.
We think it would be interesting to be able to communicate this information to the user without having to leave the POL. Also the information would reach the user with the POL information to which reference is made.10 votes -
renewal reminder
Is it possible to add the name of the e-collection to the POL renewal reminder email? the current reminder is generic and doesn't have any information in the email to let us know which collection is being renewed. most of the e-collections I have in the network zone, are Electronic Collection -> Subscription. the email reminders are not really helpful without the name.

“Run a job” and “Create itemized set” should be available from the list of Purchase order lines
When you are in a list of items on a bibliographic post in Alma you have the option to checkmark several items and choose “Manage selected” – “Run a job” or “Add to itemized set”/”Create itemized set”. Now that we have the list “All PO Lines” and can checkmark POLs in the list, it would be practical for these options to also be available for PO lines.
