Ability to combine two or more existing items into a kit without losing POL information
If there's a way to do this, I can't find it.
What I would like to have is to take existing/previously received items (presumably with their own barcodes) and then combine them under one barcode as a kit. In theory, you can use "Bond Items" to do this, but the problem is that you effectively lose your POL receiving info (as well as all other individual item info) from the combined items. In my organization's case, this can cause an issue for the auditing department if the is a question or issue involving one of the merged items since there…3 votes -
Open Predicted Items feature in MDE should bring in the Item Policy value from the previous item
The feature of Open Predicted Items in MDE cannot bring in the Item Policy as it does for the Material Type, which is inherited well from the previous item.

Allow course terms to be removed with Course Bulk Update job
The Course Bulk Update job can be used to update the term list associated with a course. The current behavior of the job is to add terms selected in the job to the term list in the course. There is no option to remove terms from the term list or replace existing terms in the term list with another term using the job.
Please add an option to remove or replace terms using the Course Bulk Update job.

Improve 008 field facet for Pulbication Year
Currently, Alma only acknowledges the first 4 digits after the 6th position as "Publication Year".
The MARC21 standard has a much more in depth system, and Alma facets should account for the following features.1.- Alma currently only recognizes numbers, but in the MARC21 standard the letter 'u' is established as an unknown/wild card.
For instance, 19uu should be recognized as 1900 or 19??. 182u = 182?, 1uuu = 1??? and so on.2.- The 6th position letter defines how many specific years and what those years mean, up to 2 different years.

Temporary item policy and temporary location should be separate settings
When items have a temporary item policy, they often stay within their permanent location. However, in order to add a temporary item policy we have to select "Item is in a temporary location" = yes. Doing this when the item remains in its permanent location causes confusion, both when viewing items in the item display of Alma repository as well as when viewing items in Primo VE, when only some items on a record have a temporary item policy. It looks like it is in a temporary location, when it is not.

May release : deletion of empty holdings.
Dear all
the May release introduced a change concerning the deletion of empty holdings:The 'Delete Holdings' link in the 'List of Holdings' page, which was formerly visible to users with the 'Physical Inventory Operator' role, is now visible only to users who have the 'Physical Inventory Operator Extended' role.
This change is a problem because not all the operators can have the physical Inventory Operator Extended role: this role allows operators to delete copies and it is quite dangerous.
It would be better for us that operators with the physical inventory role keep the permission to move copies from…177 votes -
Item Sequences Configuration: "Set Next Sequence Value"
It is currently not possible to change the sequence value to a lower one --> error message: "The new sequence value must be greater than the current value."
In order to achieve the desired result, you then have to delete the counter and set it up again.

Resource Search Brief record's displayed fields
When performing Resource Search for external resources, the edition statement or series name is not displayed.
However, Alma does show these when searching for records internally by adjusting "Manage column display", which makes it easy to know what record we are dealing with.
If a record is known to have an edition statement or series statement, it should be displayed in external resource search as to make it easy to identify the records without having to open them one by one to check such information.2 votes -

Since Resources>>Create Inventory>>Add Physical Item has been adapted for use in scenarios where additional cataloging is neither required nor desired (e.g. brief bibs for equipment), it would be nice to include a tick box (similar to the Suppress from Discovery) to indicate that additional cataloging is required. When the box is checked, a work order will be triggered for additional cataloging and the pick from shelf request will be created. * Number of withdrawn items
* Number of unmanaged items
* Number of suppressed holdings records
* Number of suppressed bibliographic records
* Number of deleted holdings records

Improve import profiles to create multiple holdings
The import profiles to load bibliographic records and attach holdings and items are currently limited to only ONE holdings record per bibliographic record. We would like the ability to create multiple holdings records, one for each distinctive call number. After loading records, if we have multiple copies it is manual work to create new holdings records when the holdings have all been merged into one.

Link to list of holdings from the results list of titles
The Holdings button in the row actions menu takes a user to the MARC record view of the holdings record if there is only one holding but you go to the list of holdings page if there is more than one holdings on a bib.
Clicking on the Items button in the row action menu always takes the user to the list of items page no matter how many items there are.
The Associate a PO line row actions option that can only be accessed from this menu takes multiple steps to access if there is only one holding on…

Add printable shelf list functionality to MDE 'Browse Shelf Listing'
There is a need for a convenient Shelf List tool for libraries to conduct inventory / shelf reading projects for physical items. A logical place for this would be the Browse Shelf Listing function of the Metadata Editor. What's needed is the ability to enter a range of beginning and end call numbers, and make the result set printable from that screen.

Item Sequences Configuration: import option
In the area of the "Patron/User Groups" there is already an import option (Excel file) for the configuration table.
Please provide the same feature for the Item Sequences configuration table.

The ability to sort the "List of Items" by "Copy ID" or "Item Call Number"
Adding "Copy ID" and "Item Call Number" to the "Sort routine" in the "List of Items would be very helpful for us. We catalog various types of equipment to loan out to students. The equipment has a Permanent Call Number which designates the type of equipment and where the equipment is from using a code. Each piece of equipment belonging to that bibliographic record has an item call number so being able to sort by item call number or copy ID would make our life easier. Thank you.

Overhaul Print Periodical Receiving.
We’re receiving fewer print periodicals than ever and yet the process for receiving and claiming print periodicals is more cumbersome and time-consuming than ever. Alma automatically generates a number of expected issues based on frequency with expected receipt dates even though this doesn’t reflect the reality of print periodical receiving where the receipt date may vary and issues are sometimes combined, which requires extra adjustments. If a subscription stops for some reason after expected issues have already been generated it’s necessary to remove the expected issues. Or, in the case of a publication delay, the dates for all expected issues…
