Option to remove Alma roles if staff not logged in for X days/months
Having an option to remove Alma roles if staff not logged in for X days/months will help automate the process of identifying and managing inactive accounts, saving administrative time.
We have a lot of staff that change job roles within the institution, but end up keeping their Alma roles unless someone tells us they are leaving the library department. Obviously this idea won't fix all the problems, but it would certainly help with reducing the risk of unauthorized access - particularly for any one that has an administrator role

Requests Operator role in a profile
When you set "requests operator" role in a profile, the Scope and Circulation Desk are mandatory.
It'll be better not to record scope and circulation desk in the profile so they can be set when using the profile.
Currently if you want to set the scope on another library than the one defined in the profile, you have to suppress the circulation desk, then change the scope, then set the circulation desk.3 votes -

When I use the cloud app of Bulk Scan-In, I would like to see how many items get scanned in.

Ability to pin and fix the facet in authorities search
It would be great if the search facet in the authorities search could be pinned and fixed, so you don't have to click and expand the facets every time you want to filter on a specific vocabulary

Make address fields one of the searchable fields in user searches
Addresses on a patron record (at least the preferred address fields) need to be a searchable field in the universal search box on the dashboard.
We often find a need to on the fly find all the patrons who might come from a particular address.3 votes -
Adding newly registered patrons to the 'Recent patrons'-list
Being able to see patrons entered in a session is very useful, but it would be great if the recent list also included new patrons registered during the session.
Often times, patrons for instance request registration before they find the books they want to borrow. If we could easily access their patron services page when they return with them, it would streamline the process.

Make the Send Message emails more customisable
Today it is possible to send messages to individual users from the General Information tab on the User Details screen, but the functionality is very basic. To be truly useful it should be possible to create your own templates and to customise them the same way we can customise Alma Letters. Without the usual letter components, such as a header with the institution logo, which are present in other Alma letters, the messages look unprofessional and can easily be mistaken as spam. Set transaction time in Loan/Return
Configure in User Services -Loan/Return next to the date show the time of the transaction as it is displayed on the expiration date

Stop "User manager" role's ability to add and delete Alma administrator roles
Ideally, there shall be a separation of managing patron users and managing staff users. If that is not possible, please make it impossible for people with "user manager" role to add and delete administrator roles.

Access Student Photos Securely
Currently, user photos are only available via a web link https://myurl/photo/studentidentifier.jpg. This means that all student photos need to be available over the internet which in the UK is a Data Breach. There needs to be a way that only the student in question or an authorised staff member can see the photo. It is not possible to use 3rd party software like Azure to do this as the cross-site scripting protection gets in the way.

Quick edit "Renew Patron" link should save changes to patron record
In the patron Quick Edit screen when a patron is due to expire and the "Renew Patron" option appears in the right hand panel, clicking this link current just updates the expiry date for the patron and leaves the screen, but does not save any other changes you make to the patron record as you are updating them.
This link really needs to either also save the other changes made to the patron record, or just update the expiry date and not take you away from this screen so you can still save your changes.

Add school address as a configurable option for the user card
In the pop up user card that displays, for example, in the Borrowing Requests screen, you can configure the home or work address to display. Since the mandatory address in our student enrolment system Callista, is mapped to the School address in Alma, please add the School address also as a configurable field for the user card.

Support multiple photo_identifier_type values
Allow the photoidentifiertype to accept multiple codes. Our institution recently changed primaryIDs and our card issue office cannot retrofit their db for legacy users using the old primaryID.

Allow internal users to have a phone number as default required field (not email)
We have a mix of internal users, some community users do not have email addresses. We find that it is nearly impossible to set up Alma accounts for them when they do not have an email. We would like to have the option to set those users to have a default phone number as the required contact field and the ability to print on demand any notifications they may be.

Export users in one file
We export all our users every day at 19:00 hours.
This export results in over 600 files that then have to be concatenated into one big file.
It would be most useful if the export could result in one big file being exported.

New role for limited user account editing
It would be helpful if we had a separate role for User Operator that could edit any user account's contact details and merge user records as well as run analytics on users BUT not change or add roles attached to that account OR delete records. This is primarily to allow circulation staff more control over user accounts but to restrict access to higher-level abilities for cybersecurity reasons.

Enable sending of emails to non-preferred email addresses
Currently, when contacting users using the Update/Notify Users job in conjunction with the User Notifications Letter, the process will only send to the preferred email address in the patron record. For our former students whose patron records have expired in Alma, this means that the notifications go to their student email address to which they no longer have access.
To contact our former students once their Alma account has expired in line with university IT regulations, we have to take their unique identifier out of Alma and contact them using a separate external system. This entails a lot of extra…

Ability to send an email from User Details - General information although the user is restricted from editing
Our patrons are restricted from editing. Now with this setting librarians can't send e-mails from the General information - User Details page. It would be helpful to enable sending emails for librarians from the General information - User Details page to all patrons (users restricted from editing and also for non-restricted).
