  1. delete users with expired purge date daily with scheduled job

    Now deleting users with an expired pruge date has to be done manually and cannot be scheduled with a job. We would like to have a job that can delete these records more easy than now.

    ExLibris came with this answer: Alma product management is aware of this issue and most likely scheduling will be possible in future Alma versions. However, there is no specific timeline for this solution, yet. Once the fix is released, information will be included in the relevant release notes and documentation.

    It would be an efficiënt addidition in the ALMA jobs.

  2. Add address parameters to update/notify user job

    We are a library in an institution that has one library but several locations/physical campuses. The students order material in Primo, and we send material from the library to the students by post (internal system) to their location.

    The issue is that our SIS (Student information system) does not seperate the students by locaton, and does not offer any indication to where the stuydent is located in the user profile import to Alma. As it is, we have no possibility to see whether a student is located at the same campus as the library or at one of the others.

  3. Order the toolbar

    For each user the order of "Manage patrons", "Return items", and "Scan in items" is in a different order. You should be able to arrange these so that it is the same for each user.

  4. View only electronic inventory role

    It would be great to have a role that could view all information related to electronic collections and portfolios but not edit them. This would be helpful for overlap analysis and viewing other details for individuals who should not be able to edit electronic inventory. One use case would be for network zone access for members of a consortium who access but do not maintain consortial resources.

  5. User record list of roles should display Expiration Date -- not Status Date

    In the display of Roles for a given user, displaying the Status Date (when the Role was created or last edited) is virtually useless. Much more valuable would be to instead display the Expiration Date for that Role. This is something that we must currently click into the record to see, and is something of much more value -- especially when checking on the status of student staff.

  6. Allow administrators to change the labels on Alma terminology.

    Allow relabeling of field tags, such as changing CHRON I to YEAR, and ENUM A to VOLUME. Let libraries have the flexability to use the terminalogy that they prefer.

  7. Ability to log in as user to a user's Library Card

    It would be nice to be able to log in to a user's Library Card as that user for various reasons, mainly related to seeing what the patron can see (which letters they are selected to receive, which loans are present and which can be renewed by patron, etc.).

    This has been an immensely helpful feature within ILLiad, and with the ability to integrate Alma and ILLiad and allow users "one" library account to manage rather than several, it would be very helpful in troubleshooting users' questions over the phone or via email.

  8. Batch update of role expiry dates via the UI

    Batch update of role expiry dates via the UI.

    We have hundreds of student staff who have expiry dates on their roles (see attached for an example). Every semester, we have to manually edit each and every role for every student. This process would be so much easier if we could choose multiple roles and then batch update the expiry date.

    Based on strong laws for data protection in Germany and in order to avoid efficiency control of the employees we need the possibility to delete the staff user from historical records.

  10. Automatically add new user statistical categories as they are imported via the SIS integration

    As a system administrator I want any new statistical category codes used in the student file import to be added to the table as they appear in the file. Voyager previously added the code and then a system administrator could add the description to match.

  12. Read only view of user record information

    There is a need to provide our faculty librarians with a role that allows for a read only view of the user record information e.g. user details, addresses, contact details, etc.

  14. Add City and NPA from physical address to global Contact Information screen of user

    When you consult the Contact Information Tab of a user, you can only see the first line of the physical address, which most of the time is the street address.
    We would like to add the column City and NPA to this screen.

    This way, for over 90% of our patrons, we can directly see the complete address without having to consult the detail of the address.

    This would save us much time, as staff are required to regularly ask the patrons whether their address is still correct.

  15. Manual Deleting of User (Patron) records and need for consistency in maintaining reportable data

    At present Alma has an inconsistent method of maintaining reportable patron data when a user record is deleted. The reality is that the policies established by an institution (to keep fully reportable, or keep statistics, or fully remove) do not apply when a patron record is manually deleted - ie. Deleted in: Administration > User Management > Find and Manage Users.

    “Users that are manually deleted in Alma are fully removed from the system” regardless of institution policy. The Queensland Health Libraries would like to have this situation changed so that manually deleting a user (patron) record would maintain the…

    To add the exact purge date option rather then use days since purge date. If the date option is available, we can run a job and set the purge exact purge date rather than purge users that are not meant to be purged

  17. User Registration Terms of Use - Have expiration dates be able to set from the calendar

    When creating TOU for User Registration, we should have the ability, much like with due dates in Fulfillment, to set the expiration date to not only various amounts of time, but to a calendar date. We have some patrons who end their privileges at the end of the semester, and it would be very helpful.

  18. Allow for including a block note when batch adding blocks through run a job

    Blocks can currently be added to a set of users through the Update/Notify User job; however, a note cannot be included. When placing holds manually, the option exists to include a note. When the note is essential to the block, we currently have to enter each block manually instead of using the job. Including the ability to enter a note in the batch job would save an immense amount of staff time.

  19. Automatically attach the circulation desk that I choose in role creation.

    When you are assigning any roles that require a circulation desk attached, you have us choose the desk, select it, and then attach it. Why can you not just use the one I select and remove the attach step?

  20. User Group fee

    I would like it to be possible for a fee to be added to a user record when a certain user group is selected, eg.Postal Loans. The patrons are not imported with this user type - it is changed when they make the request to receive loans by post. There is currently no functionality that allows a fee to be added automatically when a new User group is manually selected.
