Option of standard clock time or military time
The 24 hour standard clock time is more feasible for reserve/loan periods rather than military time, or at the very least incorporate both options for the user. Military time is too confusing for our student workers. We had to use a cheat sheet to convert military time to standard clock time to avoid giving incorrect information to the patrons.

Network Zone suppress dedup/frbr should have a library/location tree
The Network Zone should have the ability to suppres dedup/frbr at the library>location which exists when suppressing dedup/frbr for IZ only bib records from displaying in Primo VE.
IZ only bib records suppress dedup/frbr allows a library to suppress on the permanent physical location in a library. New records added to the location automatically suppress dedup/frbr in Primo VE once this has been configured.
For NZ linked records using the Network Zone, suppressing dedup/frbr for an library/location in the network means multiple steps and constant updating are required from an institution and Network Zone. A local extension needs to be…

Hide timestamp in patron facing contexts
Add an option to allow the library to decide whether or not timestamp should be shown in patron facing contexts, for example in the Primo Get It for items on loan or items waiting for reshelving.
Examples:
- “Awaiting reshelving until 27/05/2020” instead of “Awaiting reshelving until 27/05/2020 7:02 PM”
- “On loan until 14/07/2020” instead of “On loan until 14/07/2020 22:00”43 votes -
Configurable item lists
In the several item lists we need to display several columns. In the item list "Item - in department" we need for instance columns for the item fields.
In the different lists something else should be displayed.
There for the different work steps different displays are needed. It would be best to configure which columns per list we would like to see. Thereby we need more fields from the Physical Item Editor (or for other editors) that we can configure for display in the list.

Embargoed resources displaying in Primo
Currently records from within an embargo period are discover-able to end-users via Primo.
The user then thinks we have access to the records and selects it only to be presented with No full text available.
Embargoed records are outside of our coverage range and should not display in our discovery interface.36 votes -
Enable Auto Refresh on the Monitor Jobs Page
At University of Tennessee we have found we are often waiting on lengthy system jobs to process before manually ran jobs are completed. It would be nice if this page had a built in auto-refresh to reload job percentage completion. It is rather tedious to repetitively click the refresh button to see if a job has began or made any substantial progress. If possible the button should be able to be clicked for instant refreshes but it should also refresh automatically in a timely matter. I believe increments of thirty seconds would be favorable or up to a minute. Thank…

File differences included with Release Notes
It would be very helpful if ExL included a Differences report (.diff file) for the Delivery-System-Skin mashup CSS file (mashupnew.css) and also any Letter-template XSLT files which have changed for each new Alma Release, and to post them alongside the Knowledge Base article for the release (ie. https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/ReleaseNotes/00992017/May2017 ).
Any institution which has made local customizations based on these files needs to perform a manual review each month. While this isn't so horrific for the single mashup_new.css file, it is for the Letter-templates. Having a section which lists the differences would be a huge time-saver. Bonus…

Simple letter formatting and testing
Amending and testing letters and notifications is simply too complicated with many steps in various tables, not identical names, test users receiving all types of letters not just the ones they are working on etc. Some form of WYSIWYG editor with test recipient per letter type would be great.

Alma new layout: better visual distinction between Alma Main Menu and Alma Configuration
Hello.
I'm testing the new layout of Alma. https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/ProductDocumentation/010AlmaOnlineHelp(English)/010GettingStarted/050AlmaUserInterface%E2%80%93GeneralInformation/045UsabilityImprovements/LayoutImprovements
One major change is that the Main Menu (with the Alma functional areas: Acq, Resources, Fulfillment,...) is now on the left side. The Alma Configuration Menu is also on the left side.
It can be difficult to visually distinguish between the Main Menu and the Configuration Menu. (Please see "Alma new layout, Main Menu vs Config Menu.png")
For example, I think I'm in the Alma Main Menu so I click on Resources to Manage Import Profiles. But I'm actually…

Make "updated by" field configurable, not primary ID
There are many areas in Alma that will list the last Alma user to update something. These fields will display the primary identifier of the last updater, but we find this is not particularly helpful when we log in with our campus shib accounts, as this makes our employee ID number show up here. It would be more helpful if we could use Last Name, First Name or something similar in the Updated By fields.

Make the Manage Sets table sortable
Most institutions make heavy use of Sets functionality, but there are basic UI improvements that would save time and effort. One would be to make the "Manage Sets" table sortable by the column headings that are not currently sortable:

Model the Course/Reading List association as a many-to-many relationship
We need to be able to affiliate the same reading list with multiple course objects in Alma. Currently, reading lists can only be assigned to a single Alma Course object at a given time. At our university with a complex course timetable structure we need to be able to accommodate complex relationships between cross-listed and "meets with" courses. For these courses, we must accommodate a single course that is offered by multiple departments or at multiple course numbers (e.g., undergraduate and graduate versions of the same course "meet with" each other by sharing a lecture).
For example, our Computer Sciences…

Option to disable confirmation messages (not of deletion actions)
That will be great if there will be an option to disable the confirmation messages when performing actions that are not of deletion (see attached image).

Adding new labels to a letter in Alma
In Alma/Administration/General Configuration/Configuration Menu/General Configuration/Letter emails
I want to add new labels with translation field. For example the OrderListLetter.xsl has the following codes:
department; billingaddress; date; issnisbn; sincerely; addressFrom; Cc; Bcc; note; letterName; orderdate; subject; polinenumber; price; quantity; shippingaddress; shippingmethod; title; vendoraccount; placeorderintroduction
In Alma/Administration/General Configuration/Configuration Menu/General Configuration/Customize Letters
We want to add a new header cells, for example:
<th>@@publication_place@@</th>Is there possible to add new codes in “Alma/Administration/General Configuration/Configuration Menu/General Configuration/Letter emails”?

Ability to select Columns exported via Tools->Excel option
When in a view or screen with Tools option (for Excel) saving, it would be very helpful to be able to have more contol over the columns output.
User Roles is a great example. The list does not include the ACTIVE (Y/N) option, yet it is clearly an important piece of information when comparing users or building role templates. A repository search is another example. It has 18 fields pre-selected, however this could prove much more efficient if we could select to add or remove the columns that make the most sense to us prior to saving.24 votes -
Browser's back button!
What would it take to make the browser's Back Button functional throughout Alma? It's just killing me to have to reload all the time because I accidentally use it. Plus, there are some screens that you can't back-up from to go where you were without starting all over again. As a newbie, it's surprising to me that this is a problem and that everyone else has learned to work around it.

Highlight text in persistent search box when pressing "/"
After completing a search in the persistent search box, the inputted text remains in that field. When pressing "/" to select the persistent search box, the cursor jumps to the beginning of the previously inputted text without highlighting it. Automatically highlighting the text would allow one to overwrite the previous text (e.g., scanning a barcode) without selecting and deleting it.

JavaScript in the Alma Resolver Menu (GetIt/ViewIt)
"Delivery system skins" enable customers to modify the Alma resolver menu using custom CSS and images, but it would be extremely useful if customers could also add custom JavaScript to the resolver menu.
In many cases, desired customizations require DOM manipulation that cannot be achieved with CSS alone. Moreover, many libraries rely on JavaScript-driven web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to track user engagement across various web properties.

Make the confirmation message after a task is completed a hyperlink
When a task is completed in Alma, such as the creation of PO Line, a confirmation message appears at the top of the screen in Alma, such as:
Your request to order now POL-227 has been submitted.
OR
The request was successfully submitted : request id = 701397340002914
In these cases, we would like the identifying number given in the confirmation message to be clickable as a hyperlink and route the operator to the record, request, or POL that was just created or modified. So for the PO line, POL-227 would be clickable and open the POL for edit; for…

Relay that job report gives real time
We have more than one jobs that start at certain time and ran for long time (more than 10 hours) but reports the job ran only for about 3 hours.
You can see SFC #00795696 for example.
My idea is to get the real times it took a job to run from start till end19 votes
