How can we improve Alma?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Multiple Logical Sets Attached to Logical Collections in Collection Discovery

    I would like to be able to create a Logical Collection in Collection Discovery that combines the results of at least two different logical sets.

    CASE EXAMPLE: I have been asked to create "New Book" collections for multiple departments that include both print books and ebooks. For the print books, the fields I need to query on are only available the creation of a Physical Titles search set.   3. reminder

    I understand that there is an intention to add Reminders to the task widget. Since the reminder is at the bibliographic title level, would it be possible to add a "flag" that would display when retrieving records? This would provide a visual cue to staff that there is a reminder for this record, and they could investigate further if needed.

  4. Add the ability to enter a string of delimited values in bulk to Alma Advanced Search fields

    Currently adding fields and values to Alma Advanced Search is only possible one by one. This is a painfully slow and click-heavy activity when there are many parameters to be added. This also risks slowing down Alma UI when upwards of several hundred fields (as advised by Ex Libris Support).
    It is proposed to support many values to be copy and pasted in to a single field by a string with separator, such as an OR Boolean or semi-colon representing the OR.
