Alert RS staff when Shipping a Lending Item that has also been requested by a library
When there are two requests for a book: one for the RS library and the other for our patron, the RS library is able to ship the item with no limitation and the patron's request is cancelled!! The ides is for the RS staff to be alerted that the book is requested when they ship it, and to answer the question "Do you still want to Ship?" Yes/No? We have also sent a case about this and were told that changing the Pickup Location to "Pickup Anwhere" would prevent the cancellation, however, this is problematic as we do not want…

An in process/holding status in Resource sharing lending
We would like to see a status called 'In Process' created for Lending.
There are often times when you need to contact a requesting library to confirm details. However as there is no applicable status to change the request to it risks being worked on by another individual if we leave it in unassigned.
We could assign the item to ourselves however, if someone else receives the response or if the staff member concerned is away then the request gets held up longer because its not accessible. Ultimately you end up with double handling and it becomes a very inefficient…

The Internal Identifier number automatically assigned to Borrowing Requests once they are sent to partner is long and cumbersome
The number is quite long and my team is having difficulty managing it when looking up requests or spotting it on the in-tray. We've noticed that the first two letters and the final seven are always the same, with the unique identifying numbers in the middle. I'm not sure what the numbers mean, if the stable numbers identify our institution or similar, but could a couple dashes be added?
i.e. 33-1008366-0002761 instead of 3310083660002761
Either that or can the Internal Identifier search could be made into a fuzzy/variant search so my team could just search for the seven unique middle…

Adding notes when rejecting a Resource Sharing partner
There are two places within Alma where it is possible to reject a Resource Sharing partner - in one place, the internal note is added to the Notes tab of the request; in the other, it isn't.
We would expect the same action to have the same effect in both places - the fact it doesn't forces the workflow into a less optimal route.

Conditional Status and Email Message for Non-ISO Partners
We would like for to be able to send Conditional Messages by Email and for the Request Status to automatically change to Conditional when working with Non-ISO partners: see Jan. 2019 Release for ISO partners

Configuring Letter Labels

Autocomplete Alma Resource Sharing form with a DOI
When a user enters a DOI into the Alma Resource Sharing form we would like to see the form use the DOI to auto-populate the rest of the metadata for the user.

Modifying a partner after recieving a borrowing request should be possible
In the SNLP workflow the partner changes from the own partner code to the partner who ships the request automatically. Therefore most of the requests have the correct partner when the item arrives at the library.
So most of the time there is no need to modify a partner and the staff's attention to this attribute is not as high as it is to other attributes of the request. If we observe this AFTER receiving the item, there is no possibility to do so.

Override Resource Sharing Request Limit
There is an Active Resource Sharing Request limit, which you set in the Fulfillment rules for your resource sharing libraries.
However there doesn't appear to be an ability to allow staff to override this limit, which from time to time they need to do.
I propose that there is a parameter that allows staff with a particular role the ability to override this limit.
Either something that was set as the default for the Fulfillment Services Manager role, or a block preference that you can override.5 votes -
When Creating Borrowing Requests Check for Duplicates with previous completed and cancelled requests
Following the implementation of the ability to check for duplicates when creating borrowing requests, we see that this only applies to active requests. We would find it helpful to have duplicate completed and cancelled requests flagged up in Alma (without the request being automatically rejected)

RS sharing partner list
Being a library staff member, having role "Resource Sharing Partners Manager", I'm able to obtain a list of resource sharing partners, also including addresses and other important information which may affect RS workflows or communication.
Having that list at hand, I can regularly check and correct RS partner records, if necessary.

Move the Level of service facet to the top of the facet list
Currently the Level of Service facet is at the base of the facet list, almost always hidden by the facets above it. I would like to see it moved to the top of the list as the timely processing of material for Rush or Express requests depends on being able to find those requests and action them quickly. As it is currently unless you specifically scroll down the list, you don't even know those requests have come in.

Overdues
An alert function when items have gone overdue. Currently the requester will get sent overdue e-mails, but the library is not notified. When you have thousands of requests it is imposisble to search through.

Books Straps
We would like to print Book Straps (like in OCLC) to attach to books as quite often our patrons return books with out the Slips.

Having the notes field displayed on the front screen so we dont have to go into each request to see if any notes
If we add any notes it would be helpful to see that there is a note in the request on the first creation screen so that other people can see it straight away without having to look at each one individually

I would like to search Completed Requests by Partner Code and External Identifier. Currently, this is only possible via Analytics which has a one-day delay.

More frequent resource sharing notifications
Enable the option to send notifications to users who place resource sharing requests for each stage of the process. This will give users a better sense of where their requests are, instead of just sending them into a black hole with no idea when they might arrive. This is similar to the way that online shopping provides notifications for each stage of a purchase, and is something users are coming to expect.
