sort representations alma digital
If you attach several digital representations to one bibliographic record in ALMA, and each representation has one file attached, the representations/files are sorted as strings. When managing representations with alphanumeric labels, this can lead to a confusing display order. For example, by default when displaying links to an architectural walking tour, "Stop 2: Rudolph's Master Plan" appears after "Stop 10: Campanile & the Public Square." In the example, you can "trick" Alma into displaying the desired order by adding a blank space before "Stop 2." However, this process is messy and not intuitive. It would be helpful to have the…

Internet Archive Book Reader
The Internet Archive Book Reader viewer configured to flip pages left-to-right unless value coded in 008 pos 35-37 (language) is taken from a close list of languages (as documented: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/030Fulfillment/080Configuring_Fulfillment/090Discovery_Interface_Display_Logic/040Digital_Services)
In cases of visual materials such as photographs, the code of 008/35-37 would be zxx (which means: No linguistic content). The value zxx does not appear in the Right to Left list of languages, therefore the viewer would flip Left to Right.
However, there are cases (such as photo albums) where the object should flip Right to Left.
Currently there is no way to both Catalog by Standard and…6 votes -
Authority control for MODS and DC
My understanding is that authority control is not applied to Dublin Core or MODS metadata (particularly when that metadata is stored and managed in Alma, not as external records). We're interested in controlling name and subject headings in DC or MODS records so that headings are updated when authorities change, and so that these headings appear in Primo browse lists.

Display access rights' copyright statement when editing a representation
Optionally an access right policy in Alma can have a copyright statement associated with it.
When editing a representation in Alma, the existence of the copyright statement is not displayed to the user. The user can enter another copyright statement for the representation which overrides the one associated with the access rights policy.
I would expect that the copyright statement should at minimum, be displayed to the user so they do not have to guess if this is an access rights policy where they must also assign a copyright statement.
I had expected that it would show in the copyrights…

Access Right based on a user's statistical category
Can we define an "Access Right" based on a user's statistical category. i.e., we have the Student's academic program listed as a statistical category. We want to limit access to certain resources by academic program.

Add Close Caption file information to Alma Analytics
We need to report on the status of our digital collection, including which videos are close captioned. This data is not available in Alma Analytics. How hard would it be to add this to the "Digital Inventory" table?

Index MODS fields
The documentation on this page (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/Metadata_Management/180Search_Indexes) suggests that MODS fields are not currently included in many internal search indexes. We would like to see MODS fields included in applicable internal indexes, or (if such indexing is already in place) better documentation of this indexing.

Access Rights Policies for Digital Objects: Allow multiple IP addresses in one Access Rights Policy.
The following article is relevant to the request.
We would like to set 5 concurrent users from on-campus and remote access, but currently, only one IP range can be entered in one Access Rights Policy. We would like to add the on-campus IP range and the proxy IP address to the IP Parameter in the Expressions to set up 5 concurrent users from on-campus or remote access.

Digital Import Profile - it does not manage the existing digital representation
We use the digital import profile to update our digital collections. Currently, the system does not allow us to update the digital representation linked to the title; it only adds the new one, regardless of whether it is identical to the existing one or not. It would be desirable for the Merge and Overlay parameters to apply to digital files as well, not just to the MARC fields of the record.

Batch file download function to local PC (Alma-Digital)
Please provide Select all and download them to local PC function on Digital Title > Representations > Files List. Also a file export job for a set of digital titles is needed. (FYI, Rosetta has the latter function.)
3 votesAs part of the transition to new UI concepts in Alma, search results in Alma will include list actions. Once the search results for files will be implemented, it will include a download action of all / selected files.

Repository search: fulltext of digital files
We'd like to be able to search the full text of digital files in Alma's repository search. This could be useful in situations where multiple files are attached to a title; searching the full text on the title level in Primo will not guide you to the correct file, but a file-level repo search would.
We see that there is a "fulltext" search index for digital files, but it looks like that index is for the type of full text file (it doesn't search the contents of the full text).3 votes -
Alma Digital: Option to unsuppress bib when mark object active
When working in Alma Digital and you change an object to Inactive, you are prompted about suppressing the bibliographic record, which is great. We want that. However, if changing it back to Active, you do not get that same prompt - you have to go into the Metadata Editor to unsuppress the bibliographic record. It would be really helpful if we could unsuppress the record when making an Digital Object active again.

Prevent drag copy of pdf files from alma viewer
When Access rights indicate to “Allow View” but not download,
Alma viewer currently allows downloading the pdf by “saving as”.The digital Viewer should prevent this option.

Add "depositor" name to "approve deposits" and/or desposit search screen
We'd like to more easily see the name of the patron who submitted each deposit. It would be useful to see this information on the "approve deposits" screen, and also when you do a repository search for deposits. We mostly want to see this for patron deposits, though if it's relatively simple to add a submitter's name for staff-mediated deposits as well that's even better.

Alma Digital - Allow digital object controls in Full screen view as well as the minimized view
Right now when a user views a digital object in the Alma, particularly a PDF, they have all the controls for zooming, moving to a particular page, etc., only when they they are the viewer is in a frame within the larger Primo window, with the metadata at the side etc. No functionality is available in full screen mode except to escape full screen mode. It would make for a much better experience for users if they had these functions in full screen mode as well, particularly since many of them would be reading the content on a laptop screen…

Include T&Cs in the Patron Deposit Status Update Letter
Include the T&Cs that the patron agrees to in the XML for the deposit status update letter, and accommodate it in the stylesheet when the resource is submitted.
They would then have a copy of what they agreed to.
I understand we could customise the letter to include this, but I'm concerned that if the T&Cs change, then there is a risk that the letter is not updated at the same time.

Allow for separate top level collections in Alma-D
There needs to be the option for separate collections in Alma-D. For example, we are using Alma-D for both archival collections and CDL textbook collections. I would like, in Primo, to have them separate as they are two very different collections, but because everything is added as a top collection they are all lumped together.

Allow digital collection items to be restricted by campus in Primo like electronic portfolios
We would like to be able to limit the visibility of an item in a digital collection based on the the campuses we have set up in Alma in the same way that we can do with electronic Portfolios.
If we set up a digital collection item that is a database for example, we would like to have it only display in Primo under digital items if the current view is aligned with the campus that is allowed to see and access that digital item.
EG: We have a database "Cinahl" that we subscribe to for the RMH campus, but…

Allow repeatable fields in "Add Representation form" in Alma
Allow repeatable fields in "Add Representation form" in Alma. For instance, an article may contain two or more authors. If you allow repeatable fields in "Add Representation Form", library staff can input additional contributors to the article.
