  1. Role parameters in Analytics to show circulation desks

    Users subject area in Analytics allows us to add columns up to the Scope, which is the library assigned to the role, but there is no way to go even further to what circulation desks are attached to a role as parameters.

    A call to the Users API retreives this detail, but API calls are not always the right way to go and sometimes one API call to export an Analytics report works better in terms of server performance.

    Please, add the circulation desks attached to a role in a certain scope as a new field in Users subject area.

  2. In Analytics allow an option to split ISBNs into single entries in one column

    At present we get all the ISBNs attached to a record in one cell separated by a semicolon. A function that would allow for the string to display in one column but as separate cells would allow for easier processing once exported to Excel.

    At present the layout displays as

    Title: Author : ISBN1;ISBN2;ISBN3:

    What would help is to have the option to switch to

    Title: Author: ISBN1:
    Title: Author: ISBN2:
    Title: Author: ISBN3:

    This would mean using functions such as V lookup could be performed far more smoothly.

  3. Addition of DOIs and Proprietary Identifiers as Title Identifiers to Analytics Criteria

    In Analytics within the Subject Area "Usage Date" the "Book DOI" (Counter R4 Reports) or "DOI" (Counter R5 Reports) are not selectable as Title Identifiers.

    The same is true for "Proprietary Identifier" (Counter R4) or "Proprietary_ID" (Counter R5).

    Since this information is sometimes listed in the corresponding columns of the COUNTER Book reports, it would be helpful if this information could also be retrieved in Analytics.

  4. Add general note(s) field from the Electronic Collection Editor to Analytics

    Currently, only the public and authentication notes seem to be available. It would be useful to have a way to find and report on those collections that have general notes added.

  5. Add "Loans (Not in House) From Resource Sharing Lending Request" measure

    Currently in the Fulfillment subject area in Analytics, there is a measure for "Loans (Not in House) From Resource Sharing Borrowing Request". It would be helpful if any item loaned from our collection to another institution as part of a RS lending request have a loan measure applied to it as well so we can see how the collection is being used using just one report.

  6. Shared Dimensions

    It would be really useful if you could only see the "fields" that are available to be used when using two dimensions to construct a query.

    This would make the Analytics interface more user friendly, and remove the need for checking documentation to find out what fields are/are note available.

  7. Add renewal count to the fulfillment subject area of Analytics

    Please add renewal count (the number of renewals allowed for a certain item policy and material type) to the Fulfillment subject area of Analytics.

    Doing so will allow staff to create a Circulation Matrix from analytics that fully details circulation privileges for certain patron groups, material types, item policies, etc. Circulation staff frequently get phone calls from patrons requesting such information.

    The attached Circulation Matrix is a handy way to answer circulation policy questions from patrons, except when they ask how many renewals they are allowed.

  8. Add Course Notes to Analytics

    In Fulfillment/Course Reserves/Courses, each Course has a Notes tab. We would like the notes in the Notes tab to be added to the Alma Analytics Course Reserves subject area.

  9. RS borrowing request cancellation reason to be available in Analytics

    When cancelling a Borrowing Request in Alma using the Change Status option in the Borrowing Request screen, there is the option to specify a Cancellation Reason. We would like the Cancellation Reason selected in the drop-down menu of the Request Cancellation box to be available in Analytics.

    This would enable us to analyse reasons for the cancellation of borrowing requests by library staff and potentially identify opportunities for requester education. For example, if ‘copyright issue’ or ‘item already available’ are most frequently selected as the reason for borrowing request cancellation.

  10. Create reports across Pirmo VE and Alma Aanlytics modules

    For example, in Primo>Usage>Report>Zero Result Searches example in
    Design Analytics (Primo), in addition to the existing User Group field,the system can add fields from Alma Aanlytics, such as Statistical Category, Category Type, IP to provide subsequent analysis.

  11. Add Amount Paid in Current FP to Analytics, Funds Expenditure, PO Line

    This value is very useful when monitoring continuous POL expenditures. Alma documentation states that since it is a calculated value at time of editing, it is not searchable.
    Adding this dimension to Analytics could simplify reporting on which POLs are over or under expended.

  12. Add "Has Related Records" Attribute to Titles Subject Area

    When reviewing a repository for bibliographic records with no inventory, the default analysis retrieves many records that are present as parts of bound-withs, or that may have other record relationships. Records have to be reviewed manually or exported and reviewed in other tools to see what relationships might exist.

    Since Alma does identify related records in search results, and in preventing records from being deleted, it would be useful to have an attribute in Analytics that identifies when Alma would determine a record to have related records. An attribute "Has Related Records" could be added to the Title Details dimension…

  13. Add a new Bibliographic ID field for OCLC Control Number 035z to display each OCN one row per MMS ID

    Currently, a user may retrieve a delimited list of cancelled OCLC control numbers from the OCLC Control Number (035z) attribute under Bibliographic Details. However, this field has limited usefulness for a couple reasons. First, the field has a limit of 256 characters, which means when a bibliographic record shows more than 15 or 16 OCLC numbers have been merged, some numbers are excluded. Second, and more importantly, each individual control number cannot be matched to other cancelled or active control numbers in other records without being split to a separate field first.   14. Adding the borrower code stats to the patron detailstable in the fullfiment subject area

    The fullfiment subject area contains several tables related to the readers who borrowed the document including the "patron details" and "borrower details" tables. According to the documentation the data stored in the patron detail table are the characteristics of the reader at the time of the transaction. The "borrower details" table stores the characteristics of the reader at the time of the request.
    It would be useful if the patron statistical codes were stored in the "patron details" table so that they can be historized.

  15. Sign to indicate a report/prompt is used on dashboard

    It would be perfect if there is any sign in Analytics catologue to indicate that the report/prompt is being used in dashboard/widget/scheduled job. Currently, we accidentally deleted some reports/prompts that are used in dashboard which caused the dashboard crash. Sometimes we edit some prompts and forgot these prompts are used in other reports. Theses are really annoying. Hope you guys can do something about it. If such a sign is asking too much, then a quick way to generate a list of reports/prompts that are used in dashboard would also help.

  16. Add an "added authors" field to the Bibliographic Details dimension in Analytics

    List values taken from MARC fields 700, 710, 711

    I get that this would be achieved if all MARC fields were reportable, as has already been requested, but that seems unlikely to happen so I hope this less ambitious suggestion will be considered.

  17. Modify the payment method label in Fines and Fees report

    Thanks for ExLibris helping our library to modify the payment method label: changing "Check" to "FEO". However, the payment method label in Fines and Fee report is not being modified accordingly. Is it possible to modify the labels in the reports as well? Or, could we add more payment methods in Fulfillment configuration?

  18. Customization for labels on locally defined LOCAL PARAM subject areas

    Our library requested to have a LOCAL PARAM defined in Alma Analytics. We asked ExLibris to map the 983 field to this field in Analytics so that we could easily run reports using information in this field. However, it is not currently possible to modify the label so as to easily remember/know that this field has been locally defined. Also, as we define more fields, it becomes cumbersome to know which field belongs to which mapped field.

  19. Please add Analytics to the Ex Libris System Status page

    We appreciate the emails about service interruptions with Analytics however these notices can get lost in deluge of email. It would be optimal to have quick visual besides the little green informational "i" on whether Alma and Primo Analytics are nominal on https://status.exlibrisgroup.com/

  20. Add Library Tag (Course Reserves) field to the subject areas where Active Course code is already (eg Physical Items and E Inventory)

    Currently we can get the Active Course codes to display in other Subject areas, such as E inventory or Physical Items, and this is very useful for several of our reports... but it would be significantly more useful if the report could also display the Library tag to indicate how important the item is. There is a big difference between items that are CORE and items that are Further reading. While it is possible to do a report based on another report- it would be much simpler if we could just add the tags to our original report.
