  1. Retain Course Reserves info in Alma Analytics

It would be helpful if the system would retain information about course reserves in Analytics, even after things are deleted in Alma. It would be useful to be able to look back over various terms and see what courses were run and when.

  2. Add free/not free information about collections

Currently through Analytics it's not possible to create a report on collections with the information: "Is free?" and "Is Free? (override)".
It is just possible to find "Service is free" and "Service is free (override)" fields, that exclude all collections that don't have any services, such as databases.
We propose to add fields "Is free?" and "Is Free? (override)".

  3. Add Related Record MARC fields 76X thru 78X to Analytics

Library personnel would like to be able to generate a list of titles and related records in Analytics so as to document title changes, facilitate research and scholarly discovery and develop research guides for use within the institution. At this time, the 76X and 78X fields that are used to display various related record types in Primo VE are not currently indexed in Analytics. Rather than use up the limited number of bibliographic local param fields available – which would still not allow for full reporting on related records – our institution proposes that the aforementioned fields and associated data…

  4. Subscription interval field in Analytics

Adding the Subscription interval field in PO Line to the Funds Expenditure subject area in Analytics. This would allow reporting based on the frequency of a serial.

  5. Analytics - reporte on audit trail in user record

We'd like to be able to use the information in the audit trail on a user record in Analytics, for example, today we wanted to report on when an identifier had been modified and by which user.

  6. Need Number of requests and clickthroughs per service type in Alma Analytics

In Alma, we have General Electronic Services (GES) for ReprintsDesk. ReprintsDesk is our document delivery provider. The ReprintsDesk GES appears in the services window in Primo or when linking out from a database. If there is no full text found, the patron can request the article via ReprintsDesk. I need to get statistics for each quarter on how many times the GES was clicked.

In SFX, we ran a query for the number of document delivery requests. It was in the SFX query "Number of requests and clickthroughs per service type” and the service type getDocumentDelivery. We need the same…

  7. Map item level fields, Pattern Type and Linking Number in Analytics.

Area of concern: Analytics Fields for Reporting on Serials 863/866 Generation.

Please reference Ex Libris presentation ‘Automation Tasks for Summary Holdings’:

    https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/@api/deki/files/63890/Serials_-_Automation_tasks_for_summary_holdings.pptx?revision=2

In order for 863/866 Summary Holdings generation to work properly, each item record must contain certain information in the ‘Pattern Type’ and ‘Linking Number’ fields. Currently, these fields are not mapped in analytics, so there is no way to report on which records lack this info. Without this reporting capability, we are stuck individually checking many thousands of records to be sure they have the required information.

What should be changed: As Serials Processors, we would like to…

  9. Remove MARC Relator terms ($e) from Author and Author (Contributor) fields (1XX/7XX) in Analytics

The Author and Author (Contributor) fields in Bibliographic Details in Alma Analytics are mapped from several subfields in MARC fields 100/110/111 and 700/710/711, respectively, including subfield e. But subfield e should not be included in the Author and Author (Contributor) mapping because it is not part of the author name. It is instead a separate element that denotes the relationship between the named author/contributor and the work, the Relator. Thus the $e value may vary or be absent from records although the author/contributor is the same, making it impossible to search upon, identify, and unite author/contributor names in Analytics. Any…

  10. Analytics - Ability take indicators and subfields into account when adding local (hol) parameters

At the moment it is not possible to take indicators and subfields into account when asking Ex Libris to add local (hol) parameters for Analytics.
That's very unfortunate as it can lead to an extremely cluttered output for the field that makes it impossible to use.

As "normal" bibliographic fields however are filtered by subfields we'd like ExL to make this possible for the local parameters, too.

  11. Analytics: Add item changed permanent location to events that are recorded (and timestamped) Physical Items Historical Events subject area

Usage case: University of Wisconsin would like to create reports that inventory items that change permanent locations by date. Currently, a report that can inventory all items that were added to a permanent location from various other locations by fiscal year isn't possible. With the addition of item changed permanent location as an event that is timestamped such a report would be possible. For example, a report of all items relocated to off-site storage during the past fiscal year is a desired report.

  12. Lending Publication Date

In Lending Analytics, the Publication Date field retrieves the date the Journal began publishing, and not the date the Article was published, despite the fact that the date in the Lending request is the Article's publication date. As a result, we are unable to check if we have supplied scans according to Copyright Law.

  13. Add Financial System Code to the Vendor Dimension of Alma Analytics in the Funds Expenditure SA

The Financial System Code field is often the matchpoint between Alma and external payments systems. Being able to search or query on this would help avoid creating duplicate vendors, especially as vendor names can change so much over time, that a vendor name search will not return results. Having this reportable in Alma Analytics would be more beneficial than in the Alma Advanced Search, as it could also help to de-duplicate existing instances of having more than one vendor record for the same vendor.

  14. Ability to report on inventory for citations

We would like to analyse print and electronic inventory for citations for a single or multiple reading lists. We're interested to look at reading lists with high or low print/electronic inventory so that we could engage with reading list owners e.g. for lists with high amounts of print we may want to look at the addition of e-book versions of the titles.
Currently it is not possible to report on print and electronic inventory for citations due to the fact that the 'locate' process links the citation to a particular bibliographic record and it's consequently not possible to connect from…

  15. Add a "Last page" option on the Results tab

It would be helpful to include a "Last page" or "end page" arrow on the Results tab in Analytics. There is an arrow to take you to the beginning of the analysis but not to the end. Sometimes it is helpful to go to the end of an analysis to check the data and it is very time-consuming to click the "Next 500 rows" arrow several times on large analyses.

  16. Add Normalized Call Numbers to eBook & eJournal Analytic Reports

Many academic departments ask for accreditation reports that count resources available for students. We typically use Library of Congress Call Number ranges from the OCLC conspectus to get counts of resources. The report runs well for all physical items. However, eBooks and eJournals (both ubiquitous to our collection) do not have normalized call numbers as a part of an analytics report. Therefore the counts of titles between a range of Call Numbers is not correct.

  17. Expose 'Export to Worldcat' management tag to Analytics

We would like to be able to access the 'Export to Worldcat' management tag in analytics, in the same way we can access the 'Suppress from Discovery' management tag. This would allow us to gather records for which the Export tag has been set incorrectly, and use a job to Republish them to OCLC.

  18. Enhance the comprehensiveness of Analytics of usage analysis

For some vendors, it may have sub-databases in the subscriptions and collect usage for a particular database and the titles within seems not possible currently by Analytics. Though there’s a “Platform” field in Analytics, it did not separate the figures between different databases for a single vendor. It's strongly recommended to enhance the comprehensiveness of Analytics and enhance the functionality of usage analysis.

  19. Subject Area "Alma Jobs" for Analytics

At the moment it is not possible to (easily) get data from the jobs running in Alma. The exports that can be pulled from "Monitor Jobs" are rather useless as they hardly contain data.
If I want numbers of processed records, runtimes etc. I have to use the API and still need to do a lot of manual work on that results.
It would be great to have a subject area in Analytics that cointains all the information from the "Job Report".

  20. Analytics - make History tab in User Records indexed & searchable

We have been informed by Ex Libris that when a User Record is updated, either with an API or via the Alma interface, then those fields updated will not be updated with the daily SIS feed. They are considered "manual" changes and are therefore, locked. Now, in the history tab of User Records, you can see the changes made and by whom, but we have been told this information is not available in Analytics and the only way to know who has these locked fields is as we come across them. There is no way currently to systematically pull these…
