  1. Sign to indicate a report/prompt is used on dashboard

    It would be perfect if there is any sign in Analytics catologue to indicate that the report/prompt is being used in dashboard/widget/scheduled job. Currently, we accidentally deleted some reports/prompts that are used in dashboard which caused the dashboard crash. Sometimes we edit some prompts and forgot these prompts are used in other reports. Theses are really annoying. Hope you guys can do something about it. If such a sign is asking too much, then a quick way to generate a list of reports/prompts that are used in dashboard would also help.

  2. Add proxy setting to einventory analytics dimension

    Have a desire to know which e collections have proxy enabled or not. Need the setting added to analytics to find out.

  3. Recall Dimension in Analytics

    It would be really helpful to have a Recall Date dimension in Analytics.

    There are dedicated dimensions in the Fulfillment Subject Area for Loan Date, Return Date, Renewal Date and Due Date but not for Recall Date.

    Although the Recall Date exists as a field under the Loan Details dimension, it would be helpful to have other fields (such as Fiscal Year) available.

  4. Index Statistical category fields for use in reports

    Our library uses customer Statistical Categories to track usage by external students. We need to be able to filter reports on statistical categories to certain time periods but the Creation Date field isn't currently indexed.

    The Alma User Details > Statistics tab displays the following columns, see attached statistics screenshot 1: - Statistical Category - Category Type - Note - Created By - Creation Date - External Data You can also export an individual users statistics log with these fields. However in Alma analytics not all of these fields are available for reporting, see attached statistics screenshot 2. The missing…

    Contents: Our labeling program doesn't identify items without quotation marks.

    For example,

    Please consider adding the option of putting each item in quotation mark when exporting Analytics report in format of csv.

  6. When building index tables, include data from all bib records (even if no holdings) and from all holdings records (even if no items).

    Currently, most holdings fields are not included in the indexing for the physical items table if there is no item attached. I believe the same is true for some bibliographic fields if there is no item and/or no holding.

    The resolution to the previous suggestion "Need a way to retrieve HOLDINGS where there are no ITEMS associated with the holding" addressed that one, very specific symptom of the larger problem.

    Now that we can FIND the holdings without items attached, we'd like to also search for and report on other information about them.

  7. Campus name (borrower details) in Alma analytics FF

    in the subject domain "Fulfillment", at the level of the borrower details, there is a field for campus code but we would like to have the campus name in there as well.

  8. Add Amount Paid in Current FP to Analytics, Funds Expenditure, PO Line

    This value is very useful when monitoring continuous POL expenditures. Alma documentation states that since it is a calculated value at time of editing, it is not searchable.
    Adding this dimension to Analytics could simplify reporting on which POLs are over or under expended.

  9. Add item fields to the Fines and Fees subject area such as the Bibliographic Details table.

    This would allow location, title, barcode, etc. information to show in an analytics report of manual credits. For instance, we want to know what manual credits were applied to items with a reserve location, etc.

  10. Change priority of extracting 050 / 090 for ETL into Analytics LC Call number (Bib)

    Currently, the ETL for a bib screen appears to overwrite the LC Classification Number (bibliographic record) with each 050 or 090 it reads. It is typical for the most 'authoritative' LC call number to be first on the record, while least authoritative (or even false) LC call numbers are last.

    Consequently, when a bib record has more than one 050 or 090, Analytics is opting to report out the LEAST reliable call number for data.

    Preferred would be that the ETL take only the first 050 in a record.

  11. Share ALMA session variable related to the desktop and / or Library to use it as a query value in analytics

    I want to generate a single report for all libraries.

    I need to assign the value of the ALMA system variable related to the library to the variable that is related to the library in Analitics so that the data related to that library is automatically selected.

  12. Pre-caching Analytics for faster first-time loads

    The first time an institution runs reports in subject areas each day, it usually takes a long time to load. The presumption is that, behind the scenes, Oracle is doing some cache work so that reports run later in the day don't face the same sort of delay.

    For large institutions, or complex structures, this can be a significant delay.

    Is there a way that institutions or Ex Libris could perform a "pre-cache" so that users don't have to face that early morning sluggish start?

  13. Add "Reading List description" field to Course Reserves and Leganto Instructor Usage/Leganto Student Usage Subject Areas

    It would make sense to add the Reading List Description field to Analytics as it is information which is available but missing from the Course Reserves Subject Area, and the Leganto Subject Areas which contain Reading list information. Without this information you cannot really reproduce a list from its constituent data.
    NB this is really a Leganto issue as much as anything, but the impact is felt in Analytics.

  14. Put oclc number as the first oclc number in the Network number in analytic reports

    When a bib record has 035 and 775 which has an OCLC number, in an analytic report, the 775 number is the first OCLC number in the Network number column. But if a record only has 035 subfield a and z, then the OCLC number for the resource is the first OCLC number in the Network number column.

    When we are doing an analytic report retrieving the OCLC number, we are only interested in the OCLC number of the resource, not its the OCLC number of its other edition (755). This confusing order of resource OCLC number makes this Network…

  15. Add an "added authors" field to the Bibliographic Details dimension in Analytics

    List values taken from MARC fields 700, 710, 711

    I get that this would be achieved if all MARC fields were reportable, as has already been requested, but that seems unlikely to happen so I hope this less ambitious suggestion will be considered.

  16. Alma needs ti have the ability to identify bib, holdings, and item records created by individual staff operators.

    The MDE shows the operator of various versions of a bib record. When a bib record is imported via an import profile that creates inventory, however, the staff operator that ran the import is not identified as the creator of the bib, holding, and/or item record. We often did Access queries in Voyager to identify bibs, holdings, or item records created or modified by particular staff members or student assistants. I can see that we could do such a report from Alma on bib record operators of versions after the initial import and I can also see in the Item…

  17. Add number of resource sharing requests to physical items subject area

    When analyzing an item's usage, we would like to account for both local loans and resource sharing lending requests. Both are available in the Titles subject area, but the physical items subject area allows us to apply additional limits, such as item location and receiving date, that we cannot use in a titles report.

  18. Programatically check latest ETL timestamp when running reports via API

    We would like to programatically check the last ETL timestamp when running reports via API in order to know that fresh data is available. We would like to build in logic where we check again at intervals and not run the report until the ETL timestamp has updated. As things stand we risk reporting on old data when the ETL has taken longer than normal. The report concerned is accessed nightly via API and feeds into another system (a university reporting dashboard).

  20. Add the ability to run scheduled analytics jobs using reports stored in the community folders.

    We are collaborating with a group of ten other libraries using Alma. We'd like to be able to create analytics reports and use them across all the libraries as scheduled reports, in our project. As it stands now, all the libraries would have to copy the correct report into their institution folder to be able to run it as a scheduled report. This creates a lot of extra work, and adds to the risk that multiple libraries will run different versions of the report, as time goes on and changes are made to the report.
