  1. Template for "Create Items"

    In the Manage Patron Services, it would be very helpful to be able to configure templates that are used when an operator selects "Create item". Then we can only display the fields that are necessary and leave out fields that are unnecessary for that moment.c

  2. Cancellations - Need to specify more than "System"

    When a fulfillment request is cancelled, it should specify who cancelled it e.g. patron via Primo (incl. name), librarian, other and not just "System".

  3. Requests Tab - Tasks

    The Task Column displays the text "Not Started" if an item is On Loan. For Resource Sharing requests it displays the text "Not Started" for all statuses e.g. Created Borrowing Request, Request Sent to Partner, Digitally Received by Library, Waiting for Cancel Response etc... Is it possible to change this to a more meaningful text such as "In Process"?

  4. Auto-renew - Maximum renew date in Borrowing Activity Letter

    We have been running auto renew for several months and it is very popular. We do not notify customers that an item has been successfully renewed but do send weekly updates and would lie to include the Maximum Renewal date on these. Although it displays in Primo we have not been able to find a way to include it in Letters and would like to request this functionality is added please

  5. Ability to Block Loan Status Notice based on Loan Status

    Ability to Block Loan Status Notice based on TOU
    The process for blocking the loan status notice (FullItemChangeDueDateLetter) should be more flexible. Currently, it's sent whenever a request is submitted for any item checked out by a particular user group, whether that item is recallable or not. It's unnecessary and confusing to receive a recall notice when the due date isn't being changed.

  6. Create the ability to delete or disable individual demerit points from the Demerit tab on the User Details page.

    Currently it’s only possible to disable or delete a demerit block once the demerit threshold has been reached. There are problems with this as when a patron disputes a demerit point the library is unable to disable or delete the point and are instead having to monitor the patron’s demerits and disable or delete the complete block once or if it’s applied. Having the ability to disable or delete individual demerit points would rectify this problem.

  7. Immediate availablity of new TOU from Fulfillment Units Rule Screen

    When creating a new Fulfillment Unit Rule, we have the opportunity to create a new TOU in that screen. However, when we hit save the TOU is not immediately made available for use in the drop down menu.

    It would be very beneficial if the newly created TOU was immediately available in the drop down after we hit save. Currently, we have to cancel the Fulfillment Unit Rule we are working on and restart it in order to have the new TOU available as a choice.

  8. Reduce 24 - 48 hour window between the time a Course and Reading list are created in Alma and the moment it appears in Primo

    It is very difficulty to judge whether or not processing course reserve material are successfully completed until a full day and sometimes longer have lapsed if/when publishing in Primo is a concern. This happens - failure to publish in Primo - inspite of Course Reserve becoming available as loan-able in Alma.

  9. Remove option to 'Renew' offered in a "Due Loans Letter" generated by a patron request.

    Option to Renew is confusing to patrons who are denied when they try to renew a recalled item. Better not to offer, or appear to offer, it in a recall generated by a patron request.

  10. Request to drop to next item when previous is made Missing

    If an item is requested but can't be found and therefore toggled to Missing, the physical item request remains unfulfilled and cannot be fulfilled by another copy of that title. Either staff get an option to drop the request to the next available/eligible item, or that is done automatically, or both those options.

  11. Preventing Change of Due Date (Recall) when placing Physical Item Request

    When placing a physical item request for an item that is checked out, we typically want to recall the item, but there are sometimes exceptions to this. For these exceptions, we would like to have the option, while placing the request, to prevent the recall and simply add the requester to the queue without changing the due date.

  12. Add additonal payment information options to circulation desk configuration, ed: Student ID

    Some institutions allow users to pay fees with funds loaded onto their student ID. This should be an available option when configuring payment options.

  13. Overdue notification blocks - remove automatically when overdue item is returned

    When a patron gets the 3rd overdue notification (after 21 days), we would like the account to be blocked. When the overdue item is returned, we would like the block to be removed. If several items are overdue for 21 days or more, the block should be removed when the last overdue item is returned.

  14. Change permission authorization set without leaving current record

    For example, a student worker is working with a patron. However, the patron record requires action that the student worker is not authorized to do. The student worker calls over a supervisor. Is there a way to keep the patron's record open but change the permission set from the student worker to the supervisor so that necessary actions can be taken? Or does the student have to log out completely and then the supervisor log in and search anew for the problematic patron record?

  15. Reminder when opening hours are expiring

    When you add standard opening hourse into the Library / Institution calendar it defaults to setting the expiry for the hours 3 years ahead. This is good but it would be useful to get a reminder to move them on when it's getting close to the expiry date.

  16. Return All button required on Manage Patron Services > Loan tab

    As a complement to the Renew All button which is available under the Loan tab of Manage Patron Services, we would like to push for the addition of a Return All button too.

    The workflow of our capacity management and shelf-checking staff is such that the entire contents of an Internal Processing user account frequently require discharging all at once. Being able to do this by the touch of one button, rather than painstaking wanding of barcodes in Return Items, would provide a quick and elegant solution.

  17. Allow non-circulation desk service units to re-shelve items

    Right now only circulation desks can re-shelve items after they've been received. You can set up a circ desk to receive, but it would be nice if you could also set up a non-circ desk service unit to re-shelve.

  18. Add Date Due column to patron Fines record

    When a patron questions their fine, I would like to be able to show them: your book was due on this date (date due) and returned on this date (Discharge date found under the comments column). I've already found the Columns list, but Due Date isn't in there. I've also checked with Basecamp and it was suggested I send this in to Ideas Exchange. Thanks!

  19. Automatic request not filled notification for on loan items which are requested but not returned without cancelling the request

    If a user places a request for an item currently on loan to another user and the requested item is not returned there should be an option to notify the requester that the request is not going to be fulfilled without using the cancel request function and disassociating the user's request from the item.

  20. Add Renewal Amount to Terms of Use

    In the TOU, there is a Maximum Renewal option but this still does not let us configure the amount of times they can renew an item. A solid TOU that gave an exact amount value of they amount of times they could renew would be wonderful.
