  1. Add 'Term' field to the list in Manage Resource Options Page.

    Add the field 'Term' to Manage Resource Options Page. When operators select Manage Fulfillment Options to view citations attached to multiple courses it will be clear when the title will be most in demand.

  2. Course Reserves searching when only one Course

    If a course only has one item on Reserve, searching for it in Course Reserves does not provide the facets that show you the course name or Professor's name. I recognize that facets are intended to be used to narrow down a search, so if a search results in one item, it makes sense for them not to display, but in this case, this is how we find a course/professor's name.

  3. Add a confirmation warning when creating a Course without Instructors

    When creating Courses for Reserves, Alma allows you to save a course without entering an instructor. This is a good thing -- it allows for "general reserves" cases.

    However, because Instructors are entered on a separate tab from the main Course info, it's extremely easy for a user to neglect to add an instructor, leading to retrieval problems later.

    Could an alert be raised when a staff member saves a Course record without selecting at least one instructor, confirming that the omission was intentional?

  4. Record Scans in Fulfillment History Even When In-House Use is Not Checked in Scan in Items

    For some workflows it's advantageous to give an item a final scan before it is off to shelving or wherever. However this scan isn't necessarily statistically useful so a lot of items may pass through scan in items without the in house use box being checked and those scans don't show in the fulfillment history.

    For purposes of physically tracking items would it be possible for these scans to register in the fulfillment history of an item as something other than a return, loan, or in house use? Maybe just as "Scanned?"

  5. Course Reserves: Reading Lists: Add "Action links" to top AND bottom on the page

    When working on long reading lists [Classic UI] [staff] could click on Add Citation "action links" on the top of the page and at the bottom of the page. This was helpful in that [they] could keep adding items to the list without having to scroll all the way up after adding each item. Currently, this can only do that on the top of the page. See screenshot attached.

    We would like to see this screen be updated such that the action links are available at the bottom of the page as well.

  6. Scan item: Display Location

    When "scan items" add an option for LOCATION. Different items may go to different areas in the library and will be boxed accordingly. It would be nice to see that location when the item is scanned.

  7. Hold Shelf Option

    When checking in items that have holds on them, a pop-up should show asking whether or not the item should be placed on the hold shelf. If you say 'Yes' then an email should be sent and the status set to "On Hold Shelf", if you say 'No' then it will go to Hold Shelf Processing. That way you only have to scan once and not have the "Place Directly on Hold Shelf" option confusion.

    Edit: This would be only when using the "Return Items" function.

  8. Hide Leganto-specific features from Course Reserves when institution has not implemented Leganto

    There is a very large number of links, buttons, and options in the Course Reserves area of Alma that only function if Leganto has been implemented. This severely complicates rollout of course reserves and is an ongoing annoyance. Perhaps Leganto-specific user roles could be added, and if a user does not have those roles, then the features would not appear.

  9. Customize the Register/Update User (Quick User Management) screen/window

    Watching a Primo demo complete with a discussion on how the view was customized, made me wonder if certain areas in Fulfillment could be customized. Is it possible to customized/configure the Register/Update User (Quick User Management) screen/window depending upon the role of the user? For instance a Circulation Assistant or Student Assistant would see only a limited number of fields (of course all the mandatory ones) whereas an Admin would see all the fields?

  10. Visibility of display logic rules at the Alma collection level

    It would be very helpful to flag activated Alma collections when they are concerned by display logic rules.

    At the moment, there is no indication and activation changes may have some impact on the discovery and fulfillment level. It would be very useful for electronic operators to be directly alerted (for example with an icon) and it could prevent collection deletions or other mistakes made due to lack of knowledge.

  11. Allow re-ordering of categories (Online Services; GES) within ViewIt area

    It is currently possible to modify the Online Services Order and General Electronic Services Order, so that some services will be displayed at top or bottom within these individual categories (Fulfillment Configuration > Discovery Interface Display Logic). However, all the Online Services always display above all the General Electronic Services. We would like to be able to modify this default, to move a single (or all) GES above the Online Services in ViewIt display. This functionality would be very useful to institutions, since custom GES may be used to address specific local institutional needs which may take priority over other…

  12. Improve Loan Activity Letter so that it does not duplicate information

    Loan Activity Letter lists loans and overdue loans separately. Thus, when a user only has overdue loans, they appear twice.
    I propose that in the event that a user only has overdue loans, these loans apeears only once.

    The item-level search for specific material types is not sorted alphabetically. This is the case in the English user interface.
    A title-level search for this parameter would also be desirable.

  14. change run time of "Notifications - Send Due Date Reminders" job to 8am instead of 10am

    The job "Notification – Send Due Date Reminders" seems to be sending a notice on the day that the item is due. It’s scheduled to run at 10:00am every day so picks up short term loans made that day. We would like the ability to change it to run at 8am or earlier before the Library opens as we do not want people with short hourly type loans getting a reminder

    Add ability to automatically check-in certain items to work order department such as laptops and ipads when they are returned to the library. For example, all of our technology items are sent to the technology work order department when they are check-in so they can be wiped clean or previous user's data. We would love the ability to automatically send certain items or items from certain locations to a specified work order department on check-in saving lots of added steps for the access services staff every time a laptop or ipad is checked in.

  17. Disable credit functionality for patrons

    We can't and don't want to handle credits in favor of patrons in Alma. While I was able to deactivate the addition of the credit "fine" type, it is still possible to create a credit from the payment menu by ticking the box "Add change to balance".
    While you "just don't have to tick it" in order to solve the problem, mistakes are quickly made. We would like to have a parameter that disables the credit functionality overall, so that there are no hidden ways to add credit all the same.

  18. Automatic request not filled notification for on loan items which are requested but not returned without cancelling the request

    If a user places a request for an item currently on loan to another user and the requested item is not returned there should be an option to notify the requester that the request is not going to be fulfilled without using the cancel request function and disassociating the user's request from the item.

  19. Remove option to 'Renew' offered in a "Due Loans Letter" generated by a patron request.

    Option to Renew is confusing to patrons who are denied when they try to renew a recalled item. Better not to offer, or appear to offer, it in a recall generated by a patron request.

  20. Immediate availablity of new TOU from Fulfillment Units Rule Screen

    When creating a new Fulfillment Unit Rule, we have the opportunity to create a new TOU in that screen. However, when we hit save the TOU is not immediately made available for use in the drop down menu.

    It would be very beneficial if the newly created TOU was immediately available in the drop down after we hit save. Currently, we have to cancel the Fulfillment Unit Rule we are working on and restart it in order to have the new TOU available as a choice.
