  1. Include the same details in an Acquisitions Placed HOLD as for a Patron Request placed through the repository search

    Currently, we cannot use the checkbox to hold an item for an interested user in the PO Line to place an item on hold. This is because the information provided when this option is chosen is so much more minimal than what is seen if we put a request on the book from the repository search, that our Fulfillment department often does not expect the hold -- it does not show up when the scan the item in, and it does not indicate who it is for.   2. Add percentage to reporting codes

    Now that ExLibris has added the secondary and tertiary reporting codes, it would be really helpful to be able to add a percentage to each of the additional reporting codes so that PO lines and invoices will show the percentage split, just like the fund codes do. This would be especially helpful with ERP so invoices that are split across more than one reporting code/fund would not have to be dealt with manually.

  3. Work with more vendors who provide SUSHI to make them Alma-certified

    Factiva and PLoS both provide SUSHI credentials, but they do not work with Alma, and are not currently an Alma-Certified SUSHI vendor. Please work with them so that we can draw our Factiva and PLoS usage via SUSHI.

  4. Enable customization of Receive New Material columns

    We would like to have the ability to completely customize the data elements in the Receive New Material columns. Vendor name, for instance, which is not a current column option, would be helpful. Our library, like many others, combines Receiving and Copy cataloging functions, so Brief Level would be an extremely useful column to see at point of receipt, in order to enable easy identification of bibliographic record quality.

    Hire an English/Technical writer to create accurate and detailed instructions. I can't find instructions I need in order to create and print orders to vendors to whom we do not order via EDI's or email.

  6. Different Sorting Option in Funds List Display

    I would like to see the addition of the sorting mechanism based on status that is found in the vendors list added to the display of the Funds List Display that can default to "Active" funds. Since the default seems to be all the funds that have ever been appear, it would make more sense to mimic the "Active", "All", "Inactive" that is used for "Vendor Status" than ask users to click on additional facets for "Fund/Ledger Status".

    I don't know what is more favorable among customers (the current facets or the mimicking of status as shown in the Vendor…

  7. Increase viewable character count when looking at tables of invoice or PO lines

    Alma unnecessarily truncates fields and wastes monitor space in the Purchase Order Line Details > Invoice Tab. See in my attachment that both the invoice number field and the Note (piece identifier) field are cut off. At the very least, the entire invoice number should be visible. I understand not all monitors are the same width, but we should be able to see more of this important information. Please fix this.

  8. Ability to edit a location instead of creating a new one

    We are aware that this is a fulfillment configuration, but it is one which causes problems with acquisitions.

    We would like the ability to 'edit' existing location codes that would automatically update everything within those locations to the new location, including holdings, items, and PO lines...rather than having to create new locations and move things before deleting the old location.

    This would eliminate the problems with "change physical items" jobs that don't change locations for things with no items attached (common with serials).

    This would also eliminate the problem of POs becoming unlinked from holdings when a location is changed.…

  10. Item's inventory price

    a) Instead of clicking Allocate every time to assign the item’s inventory price from the PO line, the process should be automated as was the case in Aleph.

    b) The final price from the PO line should be converted to our local (and default) currency automatically and written to the item’s inventory price field.

    c) When an invoice is paid in Alma, the item's inventory price should be updated automatically with the final amount in our local (and default) currency.

    All of the above is required for reporting to our financial department and library management.

  11. More Configuration for Work Order Type Statuses

    There is currently limited functionality for configuring Work Order Type Statuses. It would be helpful to be able to do more than just Add and Remove statuses. Being able to edit/rename, rearrange the order, and set a default would be useful.

  12. Vendor contacts need phone extension added

    When adding a new contact to the vendor location, there could be numerous people using the same base number, but with different extensions. Can you add a space to allow entering the extension?

  13. "Request" link when you have ordered a physical book

    When you have ordered a physical book (one time order) it would be very helpful to get a Request link available on the Purchase order lines in Review page.

    Then you could place a request more quickly. You don't have to search for the book again.

  15. Trials - table & report for Purchase Decision field

    For the Purchase Decision field in a Trial we would like to have -
    1/ Ability to add new Purchase Decisions via a table similar to other areas of Alma. At the moment only options are Yes or No
    2/ Be able to run a report (or filter) on this field so we can take to collection development meetings if Purchase Decision was, for example, Future Purchase

  16. Pause function in PDA module needs to deactive e-portfolio not suppress bib record

    The PDA (patron driven acquisition) module doesn't work as well as it could - for example reporting limitations and the inability to link to an existing electronic collection but the big problem for us is the Pause function. Currently when you Pause a PDA list the bib record is suppressed which can lead to resources available in print or in other electronic collections to be hidden. Can the Pause function deactivate the electronic portfolio instead?

  17. Colour/shade gradients to tell the different between license statuses (Active, Retired, Deleted)

    In the list of licenses it would be useful to have a colour/shading gradient difference between active and inactive licenses.
    For example, when you delete a license it still remains in Alma, it is just given the status deleted. This is fine as it provides a history, however, as the deleted licenses in the list look exactly the same as active licenses, apart from the status note it can often be difficult to tell the active and deleted licences apart, especially at a glance.

    It would be useful to change the colouring/shading gradient, for example, grey out the text, for…

  18. Revert record view back to more "centered" view - "left-shifted" view hard to read

    Monday Feb. 6th, 2017 : new release - has "left-shifted" the record view in the bibliographic and holdings records (this is making viewing more difficult) - can we go back to the more "centered" view that was there previous to this latest update?

  19. Add Call Number to EDI fulfilment shelf-ready order response

    The EDI fulfilment functionality (shelf ready order responses) in Alma does not handle Call Number (classmark). Suppliers are sending call number information in standard GIR segments LCL and LFS in the EDI file, so Alma should be able to import these and populate the order record automatically in the same way as Barcode. This is a key requirement in our opinion because without it, manual intervention is still required for every order.

    Here the scenario. I use a B3Kat package title record per profile "Titelübernahme aus dem B3Kat". Then I create via MD editor a PO line for "Electronic Collection - One Time". The field "Electronic Collection type" include the value "Database". We would like to configure the standard value for new records.
