  1. "Acquisition method"

    When creating a "PO Line" would it be possible in the "PO Line Summary" tab to move the "PO Line details" from near the bottom to the top as it actually makes more sense to select the "Acquisition Method" first as it dictates what fields you need to fill in, e.g. "Legal Deposit" means "Pricing" and "Funding" etc. become inactive and are no longer required fields. I know if you use a template it doesn't matter because you it populates that field for you but in terms of workflow it seems backwards.

  2. POL and its communication must be sent to account provider email

    At the moment in ALMA, if a POL has a communication:
    • the POL is sent in a first notification to accound provider email
    • the communication (with its file attached) is sent in a second notification to provider email.
    This behavour is not logical and doesn't respond to our need.
    Our request : POL and communication (with files attached) must be sent to accound provider email in one notification.

  3. Improve Secondary Reporting Code List Table Functionaility

    We use the secondary reporting code table to list our selectors and tie their names to any selections they have made in Alma. Currently, we have around 35-40 selectors and we keep them alphabetized by last name, first name. The problem is when we go to create a new user the user is placed at the bottom of the column. We then have to manually click the row up one time until we get it in the position we want. Every arrow click also refreshes the page which can lead to 10-15 minutes of clicking to get a user to…

  4. Automated Invoicing for Amazon

    Amazon is a common supplier of materials for many libraries and the current process of needing to manually enter invoices in Alma is very slow and tedious. I don't believe Amazon supports EDI, but they do provide invoice/order information in CSV format. It would be really great to have the ability to automate or batch load Amazon invoices.

  5. Add the function of un-receiving items in bulk

    It takes a lot of time to un-receive item one bye one; we need to find POL including un-received item and click ‘Manage item’ menu next to the item and then un-receive the item. It would be better that there is some way of proceeding the un-receiving process in bulk.

  6. Automatically Associate Certain Payment Methods (e.g., Credit, JV, Deposit) with Prepaid Functionality when Creating Invoices

    We would like the ability to automatically associate certain Payment Methods (Credit Card, JV (Correction), Deposit Account, etc.) with Prepaid functionality when creating Invoices. 1) This would save time. 2) Most institutions do not want certain payment methods going to their ERP, but occasionally forget to check the Prepaid box. Setting this up systematically would serve as a fail-safe for such situations.

  7. Option to configure interested user notification for ebooks to be sent when activation task changed to Done rather than when Activated

    We would like the ability to configure when our interested user notifications are sent for ebooks. We would like the option to send these when the activation task is changed to Done in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List instead of when the ebooks are activated. This would give us the opportunity to check the ebook portfolio links and bibliographic records for our Rialto purchased ebooks before the notifications are sent to the interested users.

  8. Confirmation message when receiving items for continuous titles

    Please consider adding a confirmation message when an item for a continuous title (e.g. print serial) has been successfully received. This messaging--which would be similar to the "success" screen when checking in serials in Aleph--would make the process much clearer for student workers who often handle this task in academic libraries.

  9. delete pol

    We really have the requirement to delete a POL attached to a PO in our daily work, we will have to reopen the POL and then cancel it and then delete it, it’s kind of complicated and can we delete it directly?

  10. Filter Acquisitions POL sets by fiscal period

    Manage Sets is useful for quick lists of orderlines but it's not possible to filter by fiscal period. This results in large sets which take a long time to display and then need to be filtered offline in Excel.

    Adding a new filter of fiscal period in Acquisitions Manage Sets could help reduce the load on Alma and produce more relevant sets.

  11. Save emails to and from Patrons for Requests

    When we “Send query to requestor” as we Manage Purchase Requests in Alma, it would help greatly if our communication “query” would be saved under a communications tab for that request. This would create a history of actions related to that request. Currently, I can only put notes into the “requestor note” field of the request, and there is no other record of queries sent to the requestor for that request unless I copy the query to myself. Connecting email messages in my box to the Purchase requests in Alma, is not convenient. Is there a way to save this…

  12. Allow institutions to configure their own Packaged PO approval rules

    Could we please be provided with an option to disable or configure the auto approval rules of POs containing non 'Purchase/Purchase no Letter' POLs.

    Institutions currently only have control over PO Line level approval rules in Alma and PO rules are limited as per the documentation - https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/020Acquisitions/020Purchasing/060Approving_and_Sending_POs

  13. Add description field to trial module

    The manage trials module in Alma needs to have a description field available. This would be very useful as it would educate trial participants as to what new product they are evaluating. Right now the only information provided is Title. This new field would also need to be available in the XML for TrialLetter.

  14. Work with more vendors who provide SUSHI to make them Alma-certified

    Factiva and PLoS both provide SUSHI credentials, but they do not work with Alma, and are not currently an Alma-Certified SUSHI vendor. Please work with them so that we can draw our Factiva and PLoS usage via SUSHI.

  15. Cursor auto-return after refresh

    Can the field that you are editing be the one that centralizes the display after the screen is refreshed. When creating/editing a POL you are constantly returned to the top of the screen after you enter each piece of data, no matter how far down the form you are.

  16. More Configuration for Work Order Type Statuses

    There is currently limited functionality for configuring Work Order Type Statuses. It would be helpful to be able to do more than just Add and Remove statuses. Being able to edit/rename, rearrange the order, and set a default would be useful.

  17. Let Persistent Search Box stay sticky to All Titles

    We would like the ability to keep the All Titles Search option sticky after we choose to order something, when browsing the results of an All Titles Search. This is the default way we create new orders, so the change of the persistent box to default to PO Lines after creating an order is counter-productive.

  18. Send claims for journal issues for providers without EDI

    We have a lot of journal providers for our legal deposit. As they may be associations or other small institution, they don't work with EDI.
    Quite often, we don't receive issues. So we want to send them claims. But these are not sent automatically in Alma for subscriptions.
    We suggest Alma sends claims for issues that haven't been received to the e-mail address defined for the provider (vendor), taking into account the claiming grace period.

    This is an enhancement request.

    Even when an electronic collection is linked to a bibliographic record in the Additional descriptive information field of the collection record and when an Electronic Collection PO line is linked to the collection, it currently is not possible to get to the PO line when we look up the title as "All titles" and click on the "More info" link. We have to use an Electronic Collection search to get to the title…

  20. Allow user to select ASCII (with) sort or Library sort (without) initial articles.

    Allow choice of schema for sorting any title list with or without the initial article. Right now my packing lists are sorted by title without the A, An, The.

    Receiving when the packing list is library sort and Alma is ASCII sort is highly confusing and requires lots of scrolling and paging back and forth.
