  1. need more search criteria in acq such as operator id or create/update date

    It would be useful to have some additional search criteria, such as operator id, and facets, such as a last update date range and status, available to monitor staff productivity. Not just in purchasing but in all areas of acquisitions the site reports the need for functionality that will allow a combination of attributes of the records to generate results. For example, an operator should be able to search using their user name, some category of task (po lines in review, invoice lines in review, invoices pending approval, etc.) and a date or date range, or status (sent/ waiting auto…

  2. Adding a field in the Excel Example of Creating Invoice from File.

    Adding a field in the Excel file under batch process that allows for inputting custom exchange rates. The reason for this is because the invoice creation date may not always be on the same day as payment, resulting in outdated rates.

  3. Set the sender address to the address of the staff that made the PO and automatically forward the mail to the said staff.

    With multiple librarians handling PO, this can help us keep better track of PO details and increase process efficiency.

    Please add a validation check for outgoing vendor emails. Otherwise a spelling mistake might go unnoticed.

  5. At fiscal rollover, populate 'list price' field in continuous POLs with the total expenditure on that POL from the previous fiscal year

    See case #00483470.

    The figure in 'list price' represents the amount we first paid or expected to pay for a resource. In most cases, this price is wildly inaccurate after a few years.

    Manually updating these prices isn't feasible, as we've thousands of POLs and editing the prices while inputting invoices doubles the time spent on invoice processing.

    I'm hoping we can do one/all of the following:


    1. At fiscal rollover, the list price amount in the POL is replaced with the amount of the last fiscal year's expenditure.


    2. We run a job that changes the contents of the list price…

  6. Add the ability to set individual user preferences or defaults when creating item records.

    Each user should be able to set preferences for Item record fields that match their particular workflow. For example - make it possible to set a temporary location default for when an item record is created. Make it possible for the receive date to be automatically filled in with current date.

  7. Receive items without generating an item record.

    Law libraries have loose leafs and pocket parts and do not need to have an item generated for them. We would like to be able to track when they are received but having them show up in Primo is messy and having a suppressed holding just to receive these items is also messy. Both would make running statistic more difficult because the count would be inaccurate. Voyager was capable of receiving these sorts of items without automatically generating a barcode while also allowing to track the receiving information. It would useful if you added this feature to Alma.

  8. Include Attachments Tab Data in XML Output of Invoice Export

    Currently, when you send invoices to your S/FTP server, only data from the Summary tab and Invoice Lines tab are included in the XML output.

    We would like the data from the Attachments tab to be included in the XML output as well for our upcoming integration with Workday. Workday requires a URL for the attached invoice and the Attachments tab is the place to store this.

    These data also do not appear to be available via the API. Adding these data to both places would be ideal.

  9. Barcode field should be active when "Set Barcodes" opens

    When receiving physical items, "Receive and set barcodes" should open the "Set barcodes" dialog box with the barcode field active. This would remove the need to click in the field before scanning in the new barcode.

  10. Notify receiver of Hold Items

    Currently within an order when the Hold Item box is ticked for an Interested User the patron physical item request is not placed for the item until after the item is received.
    This means that receiving staff do not get the pop up notification that the item has a user request at the time the item is received.

    Upon receipt of an item that contains an Interested User with the Hold Item checked can you please generate the same pop up notification generated for physical item requests.

    We have found that we have to manually add the physical item request…

    Making purchase order letters more configurable to add imprint information (place of publication, publisher, and publication year) to the letter to vendor. As it is now only the ISBN (if it is available) and title are listed, sometimes the author. Many vendors reply asking for further information to identify what it is we are ordering.

  12. Improve financial forecasting of subscriptions

    It would nice to have more functionality in terms of subscription financial forecasting.

    Although we can roll over subscriptions with a blanket % increase, we would like to be able to input and overwrite this where we know price increases will differ.

    In addition, where we know the increases for multi-year agreements, these can all be set in advance, allowing for more accurate encumbrance figures.

    When we renew POL, we would like to be able to tick or not tick the box "Manual Packaging".
    Our aim is to not heritage the Packaging from the 1rst POL / PO, but to decide to re-package POL as wanted.

  14. Vendors : simplify Contact information and People contact tabs

    Hello,

    Handle vendors in ALMA is pretty twisted and not user friendly !

    We can understand the distinction between Vendor details (network level) and Vendor account details (institution level).

    But why distinguish Contact information and People contact in two separate tabs ?
    This makes us input twice same informations.

    Our request : to get one tab for all Contacts ; each contact would be distinguished by a specific frame with name, first name, job description, email, postal mail and phone nember. All display in one single screen.

    We would like to be created a new target in SFX KB for the objects (ebooks) included in the file attached (MIT Press Philosophy collection).
    The access that will should be created is from the site of the publisher MIT PRESS https://direct.mit.edu/, not of the vendors.

  16. Make it possible to change the bib reference on orders with a CKB ID

    Currently, it is not possible to change the bib reference (relink a bib) on orders which have a CKB ID, only those which have an MMS ID. I think it should be possible to change the bib reference on all orders.

  18. Enable embedding fund balance graphs and data on Alma Home Screen

    Fund balance data from Analytics is inaccurate as data is piped in to Analytics on a daily basis, making fund balance widgets created in Analytics less useful for checking available balances. We would like to request the ability to quickly access up-to-the moment fund and available balances available under each fund under Acquisitions > Funds and Ledgers > Fund > Reports in home page widgets. This would enable staff placing order to check live fund balances easily on a regular basis.

  19. Allow different configuration of Interested User emails for ebook orders

    Currently the automatic email for the Interested User of an ebook order isn't triggered until the status of the order changes from 'Sent' to 'Waiting for Invoice'.
    It would be beneficial if we could configure the emails differently to allow an alternative trigger eg the activation date.

    This would eliminate the current considerable delays between the ebook being available and the sending of the email.

  20. Add sushi job options beyond weekly

    Currently the only SUSHI job configuration options under acquisition job configuration, is either to run every Saturday or not at all. I get FAILED messages from my weekly sushi job notification. I'm finding out there are some vendors that do not make their data available except for certain weeks of the month. For example, Oxford does not make their data available until around the 15th,unless it's a weekend then it's the following Monday.

    So the job runs to no effect except about once a month.

    Can an option be added so the customer can run the job monthly in addition…
