  1. Ability to remove Associated PO Lines from a POL

    If we add a POL # to the Additional section of a POL > Associated PO Lines and then discover that it was incorrect we are not able to remove it. We can change it but not remove it.

    We would like to be able to remove the Associated PO Lines if we find that we have made a mistake

  2. Add previous price information to Column options

    Already some time ago a new feature, to see previous invoices, was added in Acq in Alma. This is useful and even better if the previous prices were visible too (see screenshot). Is this something that Libis could configure for us?

  3. "Acquisition method"

    When creating a "PO Line" would it be possible in the "PO Line Summary" tab to move the "PO Line details" from near the bottom to the top as it actually makes more sense to select the "Acquisition Method" first as it dictates what fields you need to fill in, e.g. "Legal Deposit" means "Pricing" and "Funding" etc. become inactive and are no longer required fields. I know if you use a template it doesn't matter because you it populates that field for you but in terms of workflow it seems backwards.

  4. Ability to assign Renewals.

    In the same way POLs or Purchase Requests in review can be assigned. This will give us that ability to assign subscription renewals to selectors/budget holders for approval.

  5. Cursor auto-return after refresh

    Can the field that you are editing be the one that centralizes the display after the screen is refreshed. When creating/editing a POL you are constantly returned to the top of the screen after you enter each piece of data, no matter how far down the form you are.

  6. Send claims for journal issues for providers without EDI

    We have a lot of journal providers for our legal deposit. As they may be associations or other small institution, they don't work with EDI.
    Quite often, we don't receive issues. So we want to send them claims. But these are not sent automatically in Alma for subscriptions.
    We suggest Alma sends claims for issues that haven't been received to the e-mail address defined for the provider (vendor), taking into account the claiming grace period.

  7. Change Financial Year dates after they have been set

    It doesn't look as if it is possible to change the start and finish dates of any financial year in Acquisitions Configuration > Fund And Ledger Fiscal Period table mapping tables once the year has been created, unless it is deleted completely.

    Can it be made possible for the start and (in particular) the end dates to be edited having already been set and saved, if so required?

    Being able to do this would be of particular benefit around the time of a financial year rollover, especially if an institution cannot be certain that all financial transactions for the outgoing…

  8. Retain Data in Interface Records

    We really like the multiple tabs on interface records that allow us to record different admin logins and statistical information.
    Publisher and vendor changes happen pretty frequently in our environment and we foresee needing to move interfaces from one vendor to another on occasion.
    We just found out the hard way that when an interface is deleted from a vendor record and then added to another vendor record all the information that was in the various interface tabs gets wiped out. Can something be done to preserve the information that was hand keyed into the interface tabs?”

  9. Ability to link to single interface records from vendor record

    At the moment, when you link to an interface from a vendor record in Alma the interface record cannot be linked to one that has already been set up. For example, if you have Vendor A and link it to Interface X you cannot also link Vendor B to Interface X. You are also unable to have two interfaces with the same name. This is required in situations where we have multiple vendors for the one interface. For example, SAGE journals are acquired directly through SAGE but the ebooks are acquired through iGroup.   10. When you change vendors in the PO, there should be a warning note if a PO# is not entered

    When you change the vendor for a PO, there needs to be a warning note if you do not fill in the PO#. If you are doing a large number of these (say you changed vendors for a e-journal package) it's very easy to miss putting in one po number, thus changing all your open PO's with that vendor to another vendor.

  11. need more search criteria in acq such as operator id or create/update date

    It would be useful to have some additional search criteria, such as operator id, and facets, such as a last update date range and status, available to monitor staff productivity. Not just in purchasing but in all areas of acquisitions the site reports the need for functionality that will allow a combination of attributes of the records to generate results. For example, an operator should be able to search using their user name, some category of task (po lines in review, invoice lines in review, invoices pending approval, etc.) and a date or date range, or status (sent/ waiting auto…

  12. Add description field to trial module

    The manage trials module in Alma needs to have a description field available. This would be very useful as it would educate trial participants as to what new product they are evaluating. Right now the only information provided is Title. This new field would also need to be available in the XML for TrialLetter.

  13. The default receiving status in manage items of receiving workbench is all and it should be not received or should be configurable

    As part of the new prediction pattern development it is possible in the receiving workbench to receive new items and filter the 'manage items' section by "all" "received" or "not received".
    Currently it defaults to "all" which is not what would be desired because
    A. it would show too much
    B. they would need to manually search for what they want to receive.

  14. Display all orders for physical item searches, even when individual item records are not linked to a POL

    When doing various collection development tasks, acquisitions and resource managers may want to know whether there is order information for a title at the same time they're viewing physical item details via the More Info link in Alma. Currently, Alma does not display orders for physical item searches when a POL is not linked to an item record. This is a problem for closed orders that migrated from another ILS because the POL does not get linked in the item record during the migration process.   15. EDI check in for print journals

    Alma documentation states that Alma supports the following Edifact message types – INVOIC, ORDERS, OSTENQ, ORDRSP, ORDCHG. However our old LMS Aleph supported an additional Edifact message type called DESADV.

    This allowed our serials agent, Ebsco, to check in our journals in on the LMS remotely via EDI once our monthly consolidated deliveries of print journals were despatched from the warehouse.

    Provided our prediction patterns matched the PIA line this worked efficiently. An example of EDI text is as below:-

  16. Allow for Gift Acknowledgement Letters

    The Legal Deposit method of acquisition allows for letters of acknowledgment to be sent to the vendor by automatic email from Alma after the item is received on Alma.

    This functionality is lacking for the 'Gift' method of acquisition. As standard we like to send an acknowledgement to all of our donors and it would be ideal if Alma could automate this process as it does for Legal Deposit acknowledgements. The functionality to send an 'order' letter for a gift is there - but not for acknowledgement of receipt, which is actually the wrong way around for our requirements.

    由于ISBN查重仍有问题,会产生大量复本图书,所以ISBN查重不能满足实际的需求。还有系统的模糊查重配置是去精确比对100和245字段,在系统中放在100字段的只能是单个的创作者creator,而多个中的其他创作者、还有所有贡献者都会放在7XX中,在我们导入订单时,不论是何种责任方式,我们都放在了100字段,所以,如果系统是直接将我们导入的100字段和系统的100字段比对,这是不科学的。正确的比对方式应该是将我们的100字段和系统的1XX和7XX一起比对才是。再者245字段,由于某些老师给的题名不完整或者不规范,所以,在245的比对时,也不应该是一对一精确匹配,而是应该将导入的245去符号,和系统中已有的245去符号进行比对,只要系统中245完全等于或者全包含我们导入的245,就当做重复给予显示,才完美。比如导入的245是xxxx:xx,系统的是245xxxx:xx 再比如我们的245是xxxx:xx,系统的是245xxxx:xxsssss;这两种情况的重复提示,才是需要的。并且90多条数据,人工查了77条重复,说明了永久检索框中实现了上述我说的245题名查重,但是订单创建那边模糊查重却没能做到。希望订单创建查重那里进行优化,从而完善查重需求。

  19. Display of licence terms in View It tab from PO lines

    We have turned on the display of licence terms in the View It tab in Primo.
    We have noticed that the licence terms only display if they come from the portfolio or electronic collection.
    If the licence is only attached to a PO line, the terms do not display in the View It tab.
    It would save time if the terms could display from the licence attached to the POL as well.

  20. Simplify license printing

    The latest printing option for license management is to require that we configure a print-out. To require that we can code so that we can obtain a print-out seems a bit of overkill and the "out of the box" form has randomly selected ERMI terms in no apparent order, making it unusable. I believe what we really want/need is to just be able to screen print a license for annotation or documentation.
