We love this idea!
However it might be technically challenging for us and we would like to review this with our dev team.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI should add to the above that the Home recent icon seems to be the only recent icon that is not currently customisable via App Manager, i.e., it does not appear as though Settings, Updates, Search etc get surfaced as recents.
So, there seems to be no need to go any further than surfacing the Home recent icon.
The only caveat is that being able to customise the Home recent would mean that the UI home icon exposed by the native app would not match the recent home icon. But, on iOS they are currently a bit different anyway, i.e., the UI Home is three outlined squares and one solid square shown in grey and the recents home icon shows all four squares as solid blue.

Further to Irina's suggestion and Sam's idea. I agree that integration with social platforms would be fantastic. If it were possible to call social content onto a live tile then that would be very useful. Even more useful in my opinion would be for non-technical App Manager users to be able to place social embed (share links) into Pocket Guides or Alerts and know that the iframe that is rendered by the social channel (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc) displays well and works across iOS, Android and desktop.
