App manager - content editor - automatic position links
In the old app manager content editor you could highlight text and select a link button, which would then allow you to create the action of opening a page or more importantly to a campus map position.
In the new app manager this really useful function has been taken away, so you need to manually use links with page numbers. Which you need to dig around and find by inspecting web page code. This is very time consuming and a step backwards on the old app managers functionality.
e.g manual code: <a href="uniloc://?posCode=50433">Shop,</a>
However the answer is already there/here. The new app manger has under the "app builder" section the ability to create a tile that uses an "Action (URL)". This action URL allows you to start typing in a name for a content page or a position on the map and it will automatically create the link action for you.
This is exactly what is needed within the content editor area to create the links as you used to be able to do on the old app manager. As this code and ability already exists, surely there must be an easy way to add the same functionality to the content editor in the new app manager?
Thanks
Louis
This has now been implemented within App Manager
