Ability to increase the number of results that are loaded at a time in New UI
Currently, the Primo New UI retrieves 10 search results. It is not possible to increase the number of results.
We would like the ability to configure the number of results that are loaded at a time.
We view product performance as a top priority, and invest significant effort on optimizing search response time and UI rendering time.
We believe that keeping Primo’s default number of results is important for maintaining high product performance. This configuration also allows us to perform performance testing and measurements.
This request was previously discuss with the Primo Working Group during NERS process, and it was agreed not to proceed in this direction.

Perhaps we should merge with this idea:
https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/35436478-allow-users-to-choose-how-many-results-to-seeI agree with Keren that it's not the same as letting the institution configure the number of results, but at least this would give our users some control!
I see that it's been moved to second half of 2020:

On the Primo Roadmap for 2019, "Enable user to set default number of results per page" was planned to be developed in the Second Half of 2019.
Now using Primo VE, we are also receiving many complaints about the number of results and looking forward to this enhancement. We’d be happy to know the current planned date! -

Rena, I think they may have reconsidered already. On the Primo Roadmap for 2019, on slide 23, it says "Enable user to set default number of results per page" as part of the enhancements to user personalisation. Admittedly this is not the same as letting the institution configure the number of results per page, but I think it's good to put control in the users' hands.

I’m wondering if Ex Libris and the Primo Working Group will reconsider this decision. From the user perspective, it is frustrating to have only 10 results displayed then to have to continually click on the ‘load more’ button after each 10. It is also time-consuming to wait for the additional records to be loaded. Users are used to database and catalogue interfaces that can display many more records than just 10; they are even used to interfaces where they can specify the number of records they would like to have displayed. Could you please consider this possibility?

We agree with you: an "out-of-the-box" limit of 10 records per page is fine for most of our users.
However, we got feedback to the New UI, that some users would like set the number of records up to 20 or maybe 50 hits per page (like in the Classic UI). If this would (eventually) slow down the loading process, only these users would be affected ;-)
Please bring back the possibility to defined the number of records individually.BTW: This was also a discussion in Alma. "Out-of-the-box" a results page is limited to 20 records. But since last year it is possible to load more records (with the hint "This may slow down the system").

The new Primo UI only shows 10 results at a time. I was told that the paging and screen building did not work well with allowing infinite results. But surely there is a happy medium between infinite and 10? It would be nice to have this be a user setting again, with choices as before, up to 50 would be nice start.

There was discussion on Primo-L where UTK's angular/javascript was shared. This is custom configuration to get it working.
I would rather have the option in the BO since custom is difficult to support. -

Hmmmm....according to the FAQ page
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Product_Documentation/New_Primo_User_Interface/010Frequently_Asked_Questionsyou are not able to have more than 10. But, I just searched the U of Tennessee's primo and got 20 results.
I'll open a Case and ask Support.

Our Go Live date is Aug. 28, so we are not really using Primo yet. In one of our training sessions, I think we were told we could change the default # of records that display.
