Add the possibility to open more than one record in MD editor
On a search result list, I can click on 'edit' to open a record in MD editor. If I want to open more than one record in MD editor, I need to click 'edit' for the first record, click 'Back' on the MD editor screen, click 'edit' of the next record an so forth.
I would be nice if more than one record could be selected to open in MD editor.

As described in an earlier comment, the new MD Editor supports easy 'push to' functionality which supports the ability to quickly search for records and add them to the MD Editor

Some clarifications: the original idea was about the missing possibility to select multiple records on a search result page and open them with only once click in the metadata editor (compared to the click 'edit', go back to the search result page, click 'edit' on the next hit, go back to the search result page etc workflow currently in place)
in addition to this, it would be very much appreaciated if those records could be displayed next to each other in the metadata editor (instead of only two records) -

It is currently possible to have TWO records (two bibs, bib and holdings, or two holdings) open at one time. But very often even this is much too limiting. I heartily support this idea (and will add votes when I can free some up). I'm actually hoping that this is already on the table for ME redesign, but am not assuming it is...

It would be great to have support for multiple tabs/windows, and not just for the MD Editor. Opening up an items list in a new tab while keeping the search results list open, for example, or being able to make changes in a configuration menu while testing them without having to click in and out of menus each time.

We really miss the utility of opening and editing multiple records at a time, as we used to in Voyager. It requires much more time and many more clicks in Alma.

It would be superuseful, if those records could be open in pop-up windows too!
