test access of portfolio in CZ before activation
There should be a way to test access on a CZ portfolio without having to activate it in IZ first.
Currently, when looking for a portfolio to activate in the CZ, there is no way to test access or view the parse parameters until after the portfolio is activated. If it is not the correct portfolio, you then have to open the collection, go to portfolios, search for the title and then delete it. It would be easier if the link could be tested in the CZ before activation. (seems like this was an option in SFX?)
In order to assist with the decision of activating Community Zone portfolios, you can now view portfolio linking information from search results in the Community Zone tab. Previously in order to view the linking information of a Community Zone portfolio, you had to activate the portfolio.

Hi Emma,
Ex Libris has recently been working on the implementation of NERS request # 5790 Provide an option to view URL in CZ portfolios. They shared what it would look like in December 2019. I assume that this functionality will be available in a near Alma release.
Best,François

Is there any update on this? The ability to view parse parameters for a CZ portfolio without activating it would be incredibly useful. As would being able to test access.

Dear Alma Team,
Is there any ETA for this idea whose status was changed to 'Planned' in September 2016? I have had a look at the 'Alma Roadmap Highlights 2018-2019' and I have not found any mention of it...
Regards,François

As we are very interested by this functionality, I've questioned ExLibris today about the delay.
Here's below for information the reply:
"This enhancement has already been analyzed by our developers.
After further investigation and deeper analysis we found that this will involves several changes of the program and will require many resources and might also put us at risk of causing regressions in other functionalities of the system and therefore will have to be developed very carefully.Although it is still included in the Alma road map, we can't commit to a timeline at this point.
I am changing the status of this case to closing. Once this enhancement is released, information will be included in the relevant release notes and documentation."

So I do not know how many time will be necessary to implement this functionality but I hope it will be rather soon as the actual procedure is very annoying.
