  1. URL Checker for Alma

In the system we were working with before (Innovative's Millennium) we had a tool for checking electronic record URLs called URL Checker, so we could detect URLs that weren't working properly. We suggest that this tool be developed for Alma.

  2. Display new Library Review request in the Task List

Hello, I am a new customer so this may already be possible... but it would be a great help if whenever a new Library Review is requested to be able to quickly see it in the task list.
It would also handy if you could run a report of all completed reviews. Thanks

  3. Allow request-type webhooks to be triggered only under certain conditions

We would like the ability to configure request webhooks such that they are triggered only when certain conditions are met. Request webhooks for patron physical item requests include the user’s primary ID and the title they have requested. This type of circulation information should in most circumstances stay within the library and not be shared with third parties. But it may be necessary to enable a third-party integration in order to provide needed services, such as a smart locker delivery service. Currently, request-type webhooks are triggered by any request in Alma, regardless of request type or destination. We would like…

  4. Network Zone indicator for centrally paid collections

In our instance of the Network Zone, we have collections that the central office negotiates a price for the libraries but the central office does not pay for those collections. We also have collections that are paid for by the central office. Currently I add internal notes indicating if the collection is centrally paid or not. Can an indicator be added to the CZ collections, in which during activation, you could check a box in the Activation Wizard: Electronic Collection and Services Setup that indicates the collection is centrally paid for.

  5. Alma Analytics: Add "Pickup Location" to the Borrowing Requests Subject Area

We need tp know which local library locations requested how many items from each Lending institution in an analytic report. When Borrowing requests first go out go out we can easily see which of our, let's say 4, different library pick up locations ordered each item by looking at the pick up location parameter in the facets, The pick up location is even maintained in Alma once the item is filled. But it is not available in the Borrowing Request subject area of the analytic. We can only get an aggregate campus total for requests borrowed from each Lending Institution.…

  6. customize job schedules

The existing schedule options for jobs are limited to daily, weekly, or monthly. It would be nice to be able to customize job schedules.

For example, we'd like to run a job for an Analytics report every four months rather than every day, every week, or every month.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  7. Enable default "At" department selection for Process Type in Physical Item Editor

To change the Process type in the physical item editor, you have to select Process type, then the "At" dropdown. Instead of clicking on the dropdown and selecting the department, it will be much easier if there's always a default selection. Please make this possible as repetitive data entry is a pain point in the physical item editor. I know it's possible to do this in batch using an Alma job. But some staff just cannot handle or have permissions to run jobs to make item changes.

  9. Add "VAT Percentage" to Analytics

Currently there is no way to get the VAT percentage of an invoice or invoice line in Analytics. There is only "VAT Code %", but this is useless for institutions that don't use VAT Codes.

  10. Pop-up note to alert operator when checking out item with "0 Day Loan" item policy

When checking out an item with a "0 Day Loan" policy, operator is not alerted that the item is due that day and consequently patrons are not being informed at the time they check out the item. This can lead to overdue items and overdue fees charged in error to patron. A pop-up alert would require operator to acknowledge the note before completing the loan, also alerting operator that item should be assessed for item policy correction.

Possible message: This item has an Item Policy of "0 Day Loan." Do you want to proceed? <options: CANCEL or OK>

  12. Saving Queries on the Community Zone

Please, let us save queries on the Community Zone as a logical set.

It is well understood that no one but Ex Libris is supposed to be able to run jobs on the CZ data and most likely that is why you currently cannot save a query on the Community Zone as a set. However, saving queries can often serve as just a shortcut for submitting a (more complex) query again and again, and for electronic resource librarians it is interesting to check the CZ regularly for newly added collections which are freely available, e.g., or adhere to any other…

  13. Authority control for MODS and DC

My understanding is that authority control is not applied to Dublin Core or MODS metadata (particularly when that metadata is stored and managed in Alma, not as external records). We're interested in controlling name and subject headings in DC or MODS records so that headings are updated when authorities change, and so that these headings appear in Primo browse lists.

  14. Having the possibility to change the drop-down menus’ default value in Alma

It will be great having rights to change the drop-down values in the way we want and selecting the default value. For example, changing the default value of the fulfillment menus to Any Institution instead of My institution will help our team when searching for users. It will be less confusing for them.

  15. Allow customization of the Notify User check box in Confirm Request Cancellation box.

Current default is that this item is checked, however with local processes, we would prefer not to automatically notify the patron in most circumstances. It would be better for us to opt-in than to opt-out.

  16. Manage EDI Tasks - Addition of Fund Code column

The addition of a sortable Fund Code column within Manage EDI Tasks would be incredibly useful for us. We use two strands of ordering at our institution, depending on if a title is required for research or teaching. The addition of a fund code column would allow staff to easily identify the EDI Tasks for their area.

  17. Run the job ‘Change Physical Items information’ with user role ‘Physical Inventory Operator’ at library level

    Background
Currently, a user with ‘Physical Inventory Operator’ role at institutional level can perform physical inventory change by a batch job ‘Change Physical Items information’ in Alma. This applies to a set of any physical items owned by all libraries in an institution. A user with this role at library level has no way to run the job ‘Change Physical Items information’ in Alma as it is not on the job list.

    Request
In an institution of a network of libraries, a branch library staff often updates information of a batch of physical items owned by branch library. The user…

  19. Ability to add local notes for bib record when creating POLs

It would be nice to be able to add a local note which will become part of a bibliographic record when ordering/creating POLs-- without having to create the POL, then go into the bib record to add a note.

Currently, when creating POLs for multiple items needing notes, this can get very "clunky" with many additional steps.

Currently, one has to bring the record back up by deselecting Order lines and changing to All titles, find then edit, save and release the bib.

Some examples of local notes that would "transfer" to the bibliographic record: 590__ Written by Professor Plum.…

  20. Permitting Access to Analytics Objects via Alma User Name

Accessing Analytics objects is only controlled via roles, and that makes it almost impossible to set permission for a certain report to a single colleague or even a limited number of colleagues. Thus access is granted either for a large number of persons, or just somebody with a high level of permissions (administrators).

Our workaround is mostly using scheduled reports, which can be distributed via email address or Alma user name, but a similar approach should be there for non-scheduled Analytics objects from the Analytics menu.

I suggest allowing to set permissions also via the Alma user name of a…
