  1. Make Interface Admin and Usage Stats Information Usable from Alma

    It would be great if we could export username and password fields from the Administrative Information tab and Statistics Information tab located under the Vendor Interface Details page for each interface we have in Alma. As it is now, it is not possible to export this information using Analytics. We are currently required to either provide more access than is necessary for users who are tasked with collecting usage, or maintain a separate spreadsheet/database with URLs, usernames and passwords, which is an ongoing duplication of effort as these change frequently.

  2. Change e-mail sender address for Collection Contribution Letter

    We have observed that Alma sends a “Collection Contribution Status Letter” for CZ contributions, which is different from the ones we can configure in our IZ letter administration. The letter that Alma sends comes from the “Alma Community Zone”, which prevents us from modifying any labels, HTML or sender addresses for these letters. This causes an issue for us because the e-mail sender is set to the Ex Libris’ default non-valid e-mail address “your.department@organization.com”. This sender address is flagged and filtered by our campus wide spam detection software.

  3. Access SalesForce from directly within Alma

    There should be the ability to get directly to ExLibris support (SalesForce) from within Alma vs. going through the customer center.

  4. Ability to pin the Alma menu

    Be able to pin the alma menus open (including the configuration menu).

    Currently you can pin the tasks, notifications, announcements and chat with support menus. It would be good to extend it to the main Alma menus.

  5. Exclude operator roles from "start now" option in scheduled jobs in sandbox environment

    As of now every role that has permission to monitor jobs in production can use the "start now" option in the scheduled jobs list in the sandbox. Several operator roles have this permission, e.g. purchasing operator, resulting in an unwanted and uncontrolled run of an institutional job by library staff testing our sandbox environment.
    Therefore, we would like this permission to be restricted to manager or administrator roles. If that means, that operator roles need to be stripped of the permission to monitor jobs in production that would be fine for us. We hope that we do not have to…

  6. Ability to mark selected manual jobs as favorites

    Would it be possible to mark manual jobs that are run often as favorites? Currently there are 110 jobs listed under Admin > Manage Jobs and Sets > Run a Job. It would be helpful if I could mark jobs that I run regularly as favorites so that I do not need to search for or scroll down to locate the job I am looking to run.

  7. Hyperlink call number.

    While the hyperlinked title is a valuable tool, many of our daily searches necessitate use of of the call number. This is especially true for journals with multiple titles. Hyperlinking the call number would dramatically reduced search time. Being able to 'click through' to all titles linked with a call number would be most useful to our staff.

  8. Custom hot keys for Quick Links items

    Have hot keys / keyboard short cuts for the Quick Links items. For example Alt + 1,2,3, etc. depending on the order of the items on the top bar. That way you can add quick links to the functions you use the most, and then have keyboard short cut to that function.

  9. Allow for greater variety in the scheduling of export invoices.

    Currently, there are only a handful of pre-defined choices for scheduling the invoice export. None of them fit the time our accounting department set aside to work with our invoices specifically. Please allow greater flexibility when selecting a time to export/import invoices, ex> 1500 hrs on Wednesdays.

  11. Correct "Print licence" functionality

    When we print the licenses the order of licence terms is not the same one that appears in Primo and in the Licence terms details.
    We would like to have a print with the same order of the licence terms details or to have the possibility to reorder its as we prefer

  12. addressFrom in letter configuration: all emails should be sent from the same address

    There are a few letters (like the "Interested In Letter"), for which not the addressFrom in the letter configuration is used, but the library address instead.

    We would like all letters to be sent from the "addressFrom" in the letter configuration.

  13. Export to Excel directly from Job Report

    I'm requesting exporting to Excel from Job Report.

    Currently when I run a Shelf Report I have to do many steps to export to Excel.
    I have to click on the report then click on analysis to expand results.
    Once expanded I have to click on each result (1-5) and select "Preview items" from the actions button.
    After doing all that I to export the list to Excel I have to select export "Excel (all fields)".

  14. Alma RSS feed shouldn't be limited to physical items set

    The RSS feature in Alma provides a feed to Primo, identifying new items published or added to the inventory. Currently, it seems that RSS Publishing is limited to PHYSICAL items (as mentioned in the documentation), and that that newly activated portfolios or electronic collections cannot be taken into account and included in a set. It matters a lot to us that RSS Publishing is effective for physical items and electronic portfolios

  15. Not so much an idea more like a request

    I would love to see more keyboard shortcuts like "Alt+B" throughout the system. Like in voyager I would love to able to use keyboard instead of the mouse. It would make my workflows so much more comfortable and faster.

  16. A different colour scheme for Alma Sandbox

    Currently, Alma (Sandbox) and Alma (Production) looks almost the same except for the tiny “Sandbox” wording under the Alma logo on the top left corner of the screen.
    It can be very misleading and it will be disastrous (and irreversible in some cases!) if I update the wrong records in Production.

    You may want to consider to use a different colour scheme for the Sandbox login. Eg a “Alma Sandbox” logo with a red background.

  17. Segmented Display of the MMS ID

    It would improve the readability of the MMS ID, if it was displayed with segments:

    9910 775585597 05501

    (instead of 991077558559705501)

    But it should only affect the visibility, the spaces should not be copied, when you copy/paste the id

  18. Advanced Search for Citations

    Enable Advanced Search for Citations along with the ability to save the Advanced Search results as a set.

    As we use Leganto, the number of citations in Alma continues to increase. It is becoming increasingly difficult to wade through these citations to find the ones that need attention.

    For example, we are using 3 different tags to indicate if a book needs to be temporarily moved to the course reserves collection/location of the library. In this example, we frequently need to view books with these 3 tags at the same time but currently there is no way to do this…

  20. Include the parameters used in the Job Report

    The current Job Report is of varying usefulness, depending upon the job run. In many cases, all that is returned is the name the user gave to the batch, time and date run, the number of records processed, and a process ID which is useless on the local level.

    It would be FAR more useful if the Job Report, at a minimum, included all of the parameters used to generate the report -- a summary of the selections and input made in the "Run a Job" screens. Without the parameters, troubleshooting is difficult if not impossible.
